March is the month when everyone goes crazy for basketball. But we figured, why let basketball players have all the fun? So for those of you who are less athletically inclined and more eat-letically inclined, we’ve set up a March Sandwichness bracket. Come back to Woot! every day to vote and help us decide which sandwich is the king of all things lunch!

All you have to do to participate is go to the polls and vote for your favorite sandwiches! It’s that easy! It’s even easier than it would be to actually eat the sandwiches! But probably a little less tasty.

Check back on Woot! tomorrow to see the winner’s from today’s poll and vote on the next round!

Today we kick off the second round of match ups for the Classic and Regional divisions. That means that all your favorites from the first round will be battling all your other favorites from the first round! You’ve got some big decisions to make (and some big sandwiches, hopefully) so vote now and discuss below!

***UPDATE: THE RESULTS ARE IN

The winners from yesterday are:
(1) Breakfast defeated (16) Loose Meat
(9) Panini defeated (8) Elvis
(5) Croque-Madame defeated (12) Mortadella
(4) Pepper and Egg defeated (13) Knuckle
(6) Dagwood defeated (11) Fancy Cucumber Tea Sandwich
(3) Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich defeated (14) Mayonnaise
(10) Potato Chip defeated (7) Croque-Monsieur
(2) Thanksgiving Leftover defeated (15) Sealed Crustless PB&J

Not too many surprises here: we see mostly our strongest contenders moving on into the next round. Potato Chip came from behind to edge out the Croque-Monsieur, but is it strong enough to fare well in the next round against the ever-indomitable Thanksgiving Leftover?

The only other upset here was Panini defeating the Elvis by a whopping 230 votes! You guys really like Paninis, huh? Does that mean that Panini has the strength to fight its way out of its lower seed and go all the way in this tournament? Will Panini be the inspiring underdog story of the year?

I don’t know, but it’s certainly possible. Keep voting and checking back to watch the tournament unfold!
