We hope you didn't already buy a 3D TV somewhere else, because you're probably going to REGRET IT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

Not so long ago, in a city not so far away …

"Whew! There you are. I'm so glad I got here in time."

Who are you?

"I'm you, Dave. But from the future. I traveled back in time to stop you from buying that 3D TV."

Why? We've wanted a 3D TV for so long. And now we're so close to finally getting one!

"Yes. But I'm begging you, Dave. Just wait one week."

I don't understand. What is going to happen a week from now that would suddenly make us regret purchasing the one thing we've wanted our entire lives?

"The Samsung 46" 1080p 3D LED Smart TV with Wi-Fi, Dave. That's what. They'll be on Woot on July 1st."

Do you mean …?

"A full HD 1080p display with a crisp, clear, and breathtakingly life-like picture? Yes, Dave."

And also …?

"Stunning contrast with Micro Dimming Pro technology? Yep."

OK, but what about …?

"Cutting-edge TV Apps and new Signature Services plus web browsing to enhance our TV experience? This is what I've been trying to tell you, Dave. It's everything we've dreamed about. And if you buy that inferior 3D TV now, we'll regret it for the rest of our lives!"

We will?

"Well, I dunno about the rest of our lives. As soon as I saw it for sale on Woot, I hopped in our time machine and came back to warn you. I know we definitely regretted it for, like, AT LEAST 30 minutes."

But what if …?

"It sells out before we get a chance to buy one? It won't, Dave. And if it does, we can always just go back in time again and buy one before that happens."

OK. I'm in. I'll wait till July 1st. So tell me. What's it like in the future? Do they find a cure for cancer? Oooh! What about flying cars?!

"It's only ONE WEEK from now, Dave. Things are pretty much exactly the same for the rest of the world."

But somehow we were able to build and safely operate a functional time machine?

"What can I say? We had a lot of time on our hands waiting for that TV."
