All you people who left early for no good reason (ahem, Jason Toon) missed out on the exciting final day of E3 last Thursday. What was so exciting about it?
That’s right! Screaming Monkey Archery! Prizes were given for longest distance and most accurate shooter (with Scott himself as the judge/target) as well as a simple game of “Shoot A Number, Win A Prize”. You’d be amazed at how many people can’t hit a stationary target. Maybe it was just the pressure of performing in front of a crowd...
Sure, there were a few people who just wanted to take our monkeys and run, but so many of you actually wanted to talk to us and tell us what you loved about the site.
That wave of nerdly love made us feel good and made the foreign investors stare in awe as they tried to figure out our business model. We can’t stress it enough: you guys were great in person.
Oh, and then you found us all that great swag during “Amy’s Scavenger Hunt”! We don’t have pictures, but extra respect to the brave-but-blushing lady who threw her pride on the line in an attempt to win big. Just know that you got first place in our hearts, ma’am.
When the crowd got too big, we started drafting people to be short term Woot booth staffers. We didn’t give health benefits, but evidence suggests that the rush of power could serve as an antibiotic.
We had such a great time testing out our brand new booth, and we hope to do this over and over until we’re bigger than the Beatles. Although, if you compare the crowds, we might already be…
We’re glad you remembered to let us under your skin. We’ll begin. To make it better. Is that creepy? Na, Na Na, NaNaNa Naaaa. Na NaNa Naaaaaa. Hey E3 Coverage.
