One of our staffers, Leroy, has always dreamed of being a big-time magazine cartoonist. It’s important to have a dream! Especially a far-fetched one that you lack the talent to achieve, because that way it won’t get in the way of your real-life responsibilities.
We’ve pleaded with Leroy to let us post some of his scribbles, but he always says no on the grounds that they’re under consideration by the New Yorker, or Hustler or somebody. Sure, Leroy—and very serious consideration it must be, too!
Anyway, this one he dashed off in the wake of Ed McMahon’s passing. It was very swiftly rejected by Muscle & Fitness, clearing the way for us to publish it here:
Nice work, Leroy! Very… uh, topical.
Watch the Woot blog for more cartoons Leroy drew while he was supposed to be working! We’ll post them as soon as they’re rejected by the publications he submitted them to, which can’t take long.
