Why does it look dusty in the woot pictures?

My feet are always cold, even as I type this. I'm in for one. It better not be dusty!

PS: Too bad they don't have the kids woot in adult sizes. I'd be in for one of those too and I'd put my new foot heater inside.

Seems like an expensive, hard to clean, power consuming, bulky replacement for -- socks and shoes.

Actually, I'd like to give these to every woman in my office. If they work, of course. Currently they have normal 1500w heaters and they can blow out any circuit in minutes. I wonder if these would keep the females warm at a lower electrical cost.

Do those balls conform to your feet? Because... it doesn't look very comfortable.

heh... Or, couldn't you just use your blow dryer on your feet?

you'd better be careful, even though this is supposed to be an energy efficient model, the draw of an electric heating unit is fairly high. Better check with your employer or IT department to make sure it's cool to plug it in the cube or you could end up tripping the circuit and bringing down a whole row of pc's.

Just throw it in the washer.

The cool thing about this is that it also doubles as an ergonomic foot rest. I have something like this under my desk just to put my feet on to alleviate knee pain from a bunch of surgeries.

I don't know, but I would probably wash your feet first. Diaper wipes are your friend.

is it safe to plug it into power chord extensions or should I plug it straight into wall mounts?

Really? Your solution for not wasting natural resources is to take a bath/shower?

newreeses

But after shipping the cheapest price is still $10 higher than the Woot price after shipping.

It's for your damn feet, stop worrying about cleaning it, just use a stiff bristle brush.

In for one for my girlfriend as a gift. Last year got her an electric blanket around this time. Major brownie points if you keep her warm, if she's always cold.

I live 100 miles north of Green Bay, WI. One for home, one for office. 3 year warranty, not the 90day warranty most other Woot scaffolding carries.

You could use a power CORD--it's low amp.

It may say not to for legal reasons, but you can SAFELY ONLY IF THE EXTENSION CORD IS RATED FOR THE AMPERAGE.

My parents may like this. They are quite old, and right cold.

Will my Roomba get caught up in this thing or does it have a anti snagging skin.

Very true. Someone brought in a space heater last winter and every time it kicked on the power surged... and being that I work for a police department, we probably don't want the power to go down just cause I have cold tootsies!

smitzee

Socks don't begin to warm up chronically frozen feet. Let's hope this works. I'm in it for one.

Ravium

At first I was like, my feet are cold. Then I went and put on some socks. 25 bucks for a foot heater. Jesus someone please save this country.

They make for nice little contraptions for shorter people such as myself whose feet do not reach the floor at the desk

Why? Because I have a nerve disease in my feet that worsens (with pain) when they are cold, that's why! Of course it doesn't help to live in the midwest. :-(

spk11364

woot timed perfectly as I need this right now. My desk with cold feet can use it. I am in for two.

To elaborate on my previous statement:
Putting this on the floor allows short people to put their feet on this, which is really awesome to experience. I feel so tall, my feet touch the ground at my desk. Oh, and it has heat.

smitzee

I hope it gets hot enough to warm my frozen toes through my heavy wool socks. I've needed this thing my whole life. Can't wait to receive it.

lukep

Woot says 3yr warranty but Vornado manual says 1yr warranty. Wondering which it is.

talkstory

Bought one of these a couple of years ago at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $50. Probably decent heat for under an otherwise warm office desk, but useless in winter in my basement home-office in IL. Wife now uses it as a footrest. It has a standard heating coil so they do not recommend extension cords though I did use a heavy (14) gauge with no issues. It is made of a hard plastic. Do not use this under a blanket, you will set fire to yourself and likely die. No, it's not compatible with your Mac.

Now using a Lasko 5812 which pushes the warm air at floor level. It's not sub-zero yet, but so far it heats a 10x14 space thoroughly.

In for one !!! I'm 75 & diabetic, so my foot circulation needs help. The description seems to be just the ticket, as the passive massage function sounds great. For the naysayers, get wise, as there's a demand for products like this. Also, I love surprises & am an impulse buyer. We'll see !!! Thanks WOOT !!!
