My Barrel of Calvinists arrived today, as was predestined.

I am very pleased. However, the legendary letter was not in my box - I am sure it is an oversight, and I will be receiving a pallet full of organizational pucks or coffee makers by freight within the next week.

My package was logged in at 14.2 pounds and contained the following:

(1) ? Brown Bag - to be cherished forever
(6) Star Wars BobbleHeads - to cause strife and division amongst my daughters
(1) Hamilton Beach Thermal Cooler Blender Thingy - To sell or gift to one for whom frozen drinks on-the-go brings much joy
(1) iMode video docking station for video iPod - to solve entertainment choice conflicts amongst my daughters when traveling.

All in all, a brilliant package! I can't wait to see what the pallet contains that will be arriving shortly as promised in the letter I didn't receive!

wOOt on, my brethren.

Same here, no letter with mine, but there was a piece of paper stuck to the box with the word pallet on on it, among other things. So I'm sure it's coming.

The last item arrived today unannounced. In one final moment of anxiety, the FedEx door sticker said it was left at 401 - the address next door. So I go knock. They didn't know what I was talking about. Uh oh. But all was well. The FedEx guy had left it at the house on the other side and just took a swag on the number. So my neighbors opened the garage door and..... Voila!

So there you have it. A 32" 1080p LCD. Vizio model VOJ320F1A. "Recertified" (naturally). Street price: $375.

THANKS WOOT!!! (And extra big thanks to Tim Eaton... You know who you are!)

AndrewC75 wrote:My 20.1 lb. Happy Hour Bag:
  • Hamilton Beach Stay Cool blender.
  • Perfect Pull-up
  • Set of six of Star Wars Bobble Head dolls
  • paper bag with trademark Woot! Bunch of Crepes question mark printed on it.
  • hand-written note that reads as follows:
    Dear Andrew,
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, however your last item will not fit in this box and will be shipped separately.

    Thanks for your understanding,
    threepiecewoot
The last item remains a mystery.....I don't see a tracking number for it.

Plugged it in, turned it on. Looks good. Haven't tried to run video through it yet. Oh, and inside the TV box was tossed a copy Microsoft Office 2007 Standard (Military Appreciation Version). Funny.

The Carp Man arrived today with a large box labeled Woot. Inside were a few interesting items. I got the nice blender that most others report as well as the carpy pink clock. In addition I got a nice set of GE Cell Fusion phones (someone cut the label off the side of the box but the pieces inside look new, a nice Sennheiser VMX100 bluetooth headset (looks new as well but I don't seem to need it... anyone wanna trade something?), a dollar store pack of Texas Hold 'Em cards and chips which my 3 year-old has already adopted as his own (I do worry about his future financial viability if he is taking up Texas Hold 'Em at age 3), and one Woot question mark paper bag.

Over all, a great haul for an unexpected Bunch of Crepes. Not that I need any of this stuff, but it is always fun to open a box on randomness.

P.S. Even cooler is the fact that I took this picture with a digial camera provided in an earlier Woot gristle Bag. The camera originally arrived broken, but I think that the Woot Gods just enjoy testing my consumer electronics repair acumen.

Thanks!

I feel your pain. My gristle is stuck in the dreaded "Martinsburg Limbo" as well, the black hole of the FedEx network.

Mar 19, 2010 2:39 AM Departed FedEx location MARTINSBURG, WV
Mar 18, 2010 4:53 AM Arrived at FedEx location MARTINSBURG, WV

I mean, come'on, it just makes no sense! For some reason my package decided to take a quick hour and a half romp on the FedEx trucks, going back to Martinsburg (despite me living only an hour away), then chill there with his crappy homies for another day before heading out again...

At least your timestamps are in order, mine have my package travelling backwards

Arrived today, about 3 days ahead of schedule (very uncharacteristic for where I live). 12.7lbs, roughly 2'x1'x1'

1 Standard issue Blender cooler thingy
1 High school musical wall clock
4 Special edition Woot "?" bags

annndddd....

1 7" LCD iPod Video docking station.

However, I have no idea what I'll do with the docking station. Looking to sell or trade it away on the cheap. Like really, I might sell it to someone for $15 plus shipping if they want it. Or trade for Bobbleheads. Or any size of a working mp3 player.

My kids (6 and 4 yo girls) are in Bunch of Crepes heaven right now... they are playing with the Crayola tadoodles sing/scribble art thing, and I just hung the High School Musical clock on their wall.

Earlier today, I put some jalapeno bacon salt on some roasted corn-on-the-cob... yummy!

And now, my husband is arriving home with some margarita mix so we can try out the special blender.

It's a random gristle themed first day of spring at our house. :-)

Received mine on Friday (well, picked it up at the Post Office since they left a notice on Thursday). Just now have an opportunity to post.

12.5 pounds
1 - ? bag
1 - Hamilton Beach blender
1 - High School Musical Clock
1 - Bling It bag (Some tacky bag with more tacky things to decorate it with)
1 - Cell fusion (#3 for us!)
and....
1 - Bacon Salt Original flavor (unopened)

Tried out the bacon salt on some mac n cheese and it was delicious. May get some use out of the blender, but we already have one that doesn't get much use. Thanks woot for another gristle!

Finally got my happy hour bagel or crepe today, and it was well worth the wait!

1 x Hamilton Beach Thermal Cooler Blender
1 x Bratz YAZ 3.0 MP Digital Still Camera
1 x Omnitech GPS
3 x "?" bags

Everything appeared refurbished/opened, but all the parts are there. The GPS came with a mount and a cigarette charger (but no plug/computer charger, luckily it has a standard mini-USB port), and seems to freeze after it boots up and I try to access any menu.

Update: Put the latest firmware on the Omnitech, still has the freezing issue. Guess that means I might as well try to hack it and see if I can get it going again...

Update 2: Hacked it, gets to the new start screen, still freezes, thankfully I at least backed up the original software. So I have a nifty looking paperweight now with a 3.5" touchscreen. Any advice is welcome if someone has had similar problems, can't find a fix online.

Hey Woot, how about doing a happy hour some day that isn't at the exact time of day when we on the east coast are commuting? I'm guaranteed never to be able to attend a single one if they are all from 5-6pm Eastern, because that's the exact hour during which I'm traveling home from work.

You must admit tho that this is the FIRST and ONLY valid reason to get a twitter account but you dont HAVE to, just follow their RSS feed here: http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/734493.rss

After years of being public, someone fianlly gave purpose to twitter. Good job w00t!
