Does this strike any as odd that this is a solar powered flashlight?

I live in Florida and hurricane season is coming up. Always nice to have a radio and flashlight that won't need batteries.

I got one of these as some stupid company christmas gift.

The radio is awful, the light is awful and the whole thing is just awful.

I don't post here but I do buy from woot. This thing is so bad, I figured I needed to chime in. Save your $15.

I have something similar to this. It takes me 60 seconds of hard, fast cranking to get 3 minutes of radio/light. Totally not worth the constant cranking.

Does anyone know how long the radio and/or light lasts when one crancks it to its fullest? and also how much this sells for elsewhere? Thank you in advance

So if you get a mirror or mirrors, can you aim them just right so you can turn on the flash light so it shines on the solar cells to make more power for the radio so you don't have to wind it up in the dark ever???

Has anyone told Al Gore???

It says it runs off AC/DC which is good because I have a few old vinyls of them lying around.

I agree. It will also be nice to have a radio I can bring to the beach and not worry about the batteries dying.

Forget the huricanes, what about the fires and tornadoes we deal with here in central FL?
