(at that time the video was worth $250) Sure its not as popular as the ipod. And maybe its not as sexy, but i do know for a fact that the battery like is longer, the screen is larger and looks way better. The built in wifi really isnt all to much of importance but having it there opens many possible future doors. A biggie that the ipod does not have that the zune has is the built in radio... it makes life ohh so much easier if u feel like listening to the radio but u dont have one with u. Many people, as i, love to watch movies on their portable media player. best part is, with a $15 cord you could get at most electronic stores, you can simply attach your zune to most tv's via rca and watch the movies on the tv off the zune."

If you change the audio quality sync settings to automatic it will leave your songs as they are if they are compatable. Mine is filled will 400kbps AAC mp4s and 320kbps MP3s which are not transcoded unless I change the audio sync settings to 192kbps (the max quality the slider goes to). The new firmware is going to allow WMA lossless as well, in the process of converting my FLACs to that to get prepared for it."

I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.

Damn, there were a good deal the first two times around, and it's still a good deal. Except I don't have the liberty of spending $100 on stuff I don't need... My Archos 404 works just fine.

I guess it's because of the 2nd gen Zunes that have already been announced.

Wow! I just received my $100 Zune from Woot on Thursday.

Because it's refurbished, you may have to call the MS Zune support to register the serial number with your name and address because it has been registered before. Just explain to the tech support person where/how you bought it and there will be no problem.

I proceeded immediately to Amazon.com and purchased a Zune dock with AC power cord ($20) to support the very-near-future implementation of Wireless Sync, as well as a car charger ($2) to give me juice on the go.

Question though: who honors the warranty? Woot or MS?

If anyone is considering this, I have bought the brand new white zune and the refurbished black zune from woot already. Both of them are awesome, and the refurb (rox0rz!) comes with the same 1 year warranty that the brand new zune comes with. My refurb (rox0rz!) works just as good as the new zune, no cosmetic defects at all. And I love the players, I just cant bring myself to buy anything that apple makes, so this was the player for me. At this price it cant be beat!
