No. That USB connector is only for reading pictures or movies off of a flash drive, or possibly for making firmware updates.

guessing that this is the antenna for receiving the free HDTV broadcasts. I would be very interested to hear what gain that antenna has. Guessing 2dB from the size of if and guessing that the you would have to be just a couple of miles away from the source...ie inside the city limits to get any reception.....and probably outside.

how does this thing compare to the pinnacle PCTV HD pro stick?

Probably not since you have to install software and have windows media player.

true, but unless you want to record anything other than the local news, you can plug in your usual cable (if you have it.)
