Chinese New Year starts this Thursday. This year we welcome the year of the rat! A lucky year. A lucky year number. A lucky element. Everything about this year is lucky in Chinese culture. In order to catch that luck, you must clean out the bad luck, and you must be finished before New Years begins.

Oh my what the heck is that? When did you get that and why did you keep it so long?

Out with the bad luck and a clean house to catch the good. That is what the Chinese believe. Americans call it spring cleaning (although I would hardly call it spring right now). Whatever you call it, it's that time of year where you move the furniture, chase the dust bunnies from their hiding places, throw out those could be million dollar collectibles, and generally make room for more stuff in the house. What we want to know is What did you find while cleaning out that long forgotten space in your house? Are you hiding a dirty secret? What about your neighbor? Has someone provided a spawning place for a new exotic species? Are their great secrets that are embarrassing lurking in the trash. As the child of a Mom who cleaned by relocating everything to the trash, feel free to dumpster dive, show us your own hidden horrors, or divulge those of your neighbors, could be neighbors, minor (or major celebrities), dead people, whatever!

Lets clean out the bad luck so we have lots of room for the good. Remember, don't sweep out the good luck!

Now for the blah blah blah. . . . Contest runs from now through Thursday. It ends at midnight woot standard time. Voting will then commence and run all day Friday. Then when the baby (and my lovely wife) permit it I will tally the votes, slap together the famous traveling dodgeball trophy and pass off these duties to the next lucky winner. Please keep your entries PG13, no wider than 500 pixels or so, and if you feel like it, post your sources so we can all learn from your mad skilz.

Nice contest! Thankfully, a chop contest that isn't making movie posters!

Ever wonder why, at every Indy 500, you think Jim Nabors is gone only to find out he's fine and singing "Back Home Again in Indiana"?

This is why:

I was cleaning out my attic and found the Robin Williams I had lost over 30 years ago.

I really should have finished that game of Jumanji back then...

A couple of folk have levied the accusation that I did not chop this image but merely copied it to my photobucket account.

Nothing can be further from the truth.

Here is the original image:

And here is my chop.

Obviously you can see the transparent rectangle I added right about here ↑

I thought I was safe . Any Foxworthy fans catch the inspiration for the chop? (hint in the enhanced saturation around the neck area . . .)

I'm not sure if I need to photochop on this one. might be easier to choose a room in the house and take a picture. Even Waldo would have a hard time finding himself in our bedroom.

If your homepage is Google Image search...then you might be a Dodgeball Photochopper.

If you have purchased your phone based upon the megapixels, then you...might be a Dodgeball Photochopper.

If you..well you get the idea.

Dang, woot just paid me for my biggest win in a woot contest (second place) and I already spent it. Is there a correlation between being a woot photochopper and a compulsive buyer?

Great chops guys, keep digging up the trash.

SG1. We (KtC and myself) just finished season 3 of Atlantis but haven't made it past season 7 of SG1, so we though some catching up would be good. Especially with the movies coming out soon. We also have some Dr Who to watch, so life isn't so boring right now.
