Perfect match with wine.woot. Coincidence? I think not.

Yipes. Good luck finding reviews on this one. But it DOES seem like perfect timing. I'm having a wine party this week. This thing would be perfect to store the leftovers.

I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.

HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED! I bought one at Best Buy and it died within three weeks. My replacement died six months later. A friend bought one after seeing mine and his died in four monts.

Not much. I have two beer fridges about this size and I don't notice an increase.

HA, and I thought I filled up my 30-bottle cellar fast. This is a joke for anyone semi-interested in wine.

I bought this exact wine cellar from BB last year around this time for $100 and the fan stopped working after about 8 months. Problem is, the company who makes them for Oster went out of business, so don't expect the manufacturer warranty to be honored.

Depending on what type of wine you usually buy, it might be 1/2 a box (one dozen) or perhaps three or four boxes (if you are into bag-in-the-box types)...

Capacity is 12 bottles according to the description

"If you buy this product brand new chances your cooler has a flaw with it and will break down within a month. All coolers have been fixed of the flaw and also tested. After each item has been fixed it is kept plugged in for over a week to verify thats its been fixed properly. Many ebayers are listing these items with the flaws in them and its just time after you buy them they will break down."

From Ebay descriptions... Not highly recommended woot!

Bummer, terrible reviews on BestBuy.com. Ah well. I'll just hold out for a different brand. G'night all!

The better half loves wine. She received one as a gift and she put it in the dining room. Refrigeration unit is VERY noisy. When she left to visit her parents, I unplugged it. Two weeks later... she hasn't plugged it back in!

The company that made these under license is in Chapter 11 liquidation. No warranties are being honored!

Looks like there have been lots of problems with these. Best Buy offered it last year at Christmastime for $80, IIRC. Since then it looks like people all over the 'net have posted bad experiences. Just google oster 12 bottle wine.

Junk. The fans go out pretty quickly, see: http://www.fixya.com/support/t692928-oster_12_bottle_wine_cooler

Besides, it's like buying a humidor for cigars, ALWAYS get one bigger than you think you need or it will be too small next week.

I buy only the finest boxed wine, of course. Anything over $8/gal.

I bought 6 from a local refridgeration company as gifts, including one for myself. Four of them have stopped working within 3 months. The other two have held on for 6 months. The refridgeration part is what breaks. They look cool with their shiny front and LED lights ... but NOT well made.

I bought one almost two years ago and it was never able to get down to the advertised temperature and after about a month of trying it stopped entirely and I just returned it. By the way, when it quit on me I checked with Oster's website and this beauty was nowhere in their list of products.

Given that this unit is smaller than it may appear on the picture (24" high), it requires an awkward placement in the home. Too tall for countertop, too short for a cool-looking floor fridge.

Also, as mentioned above, the history/reviews on this model are HORRIFIC. Buyer beware. This seems WAY below woot's normal quality & price. This should be priced at $19.95.

So not only is this reputed to be of low quality, and the company in Chpt 11... but it has Tom Petters' fingerprints all over it! RUN! RUN! RUN!

This thing will probably steal your wallet- Petters is involved in a multi-billion dollar fraud case right now. Not as bad as Madoff, but definitely working towards it.
