I really wonder how this will ship. I'm concerned about the flowers being hurt during shipping. Any ideas about that?

As cute of an idea as this is... i definitely don't trust Woot's flower storage/shipping abilities. I'm stickin with aluminum balloons from the grocery store.

I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.

My mother always said if I ever bought her flowers for Mother's Day she'd be offended, as it showed I didn't even want to think of a gift for her. It's too cliche.

The perfect gift for mom is a heavy liquor :P.

Read the bottom description, it ships FedEx Overnight. Also states:

Flowers are secured by heavy packing paper and placed in a secure shipping box, preventing it from being crushed or broken from typical shipping conditions

Well, since there is NOTHING there when you Froogle it, how about something comparable through Bizrate.

Ha. I just had a discussion about Woot with my mom. All my woots get shipped to her house (so they dont get stolen from mine, someone got my Stewie USB toy from a woot-off) and she is always complaining about me wasting my money here... this will teach her!

Would it make it here by mothers day? Most of my Woot items don't even ship for a few days and Mother's Day is next week.

Plant + smartpost = not good.

Glad to see FedEx will get the flowers there alive.

Shipping flowers from California via FedEx Overnight is the worst idea in the long, sad history of bad ideas, and I'm going to be there when you learn that.

With apologies to Ian Malcolm.

For those who didn't look at the description, shipping is as follows:

* Shipping FedEx Overnight, will arrive before Mothers Day

* Flowers are secured by heavy packing paper and placed in a secure shipping box, preventing it from being crushed or broken from typical shipping conditions

Edit: oh darn, looks like I was beaten to the punch.

So do the people buying three have three moms? Or maybe one for their wife, one for their mom, and one for grandma. Or three for themselves. Or three for mom? Maybe it would be a good idea to get three.

I see this same type of mini rose thing in my local grocery store chain for under $15. Pass.

They are putting it up now, so whoever buys them will have to take care of them for another 6 days.... so yea. Mom will be getting a empty terracotta pot this year!

yeah, but shipping is around $14 on top of that $33... so it is a pretty good deal... In for 1.

Each bush will be carefully packaged, delicately handled, loved, honored, respected, and talked to in soothing tones of voice en route to ensure it arrives on your mom’s doorstep in safe, healthy condition and in plenty of time for Mother's Day.

According to MythBusters, heavy metal is what's best for plants. Can I get a rose that's had constant exposure to it its entire existence?

So if you took 4.9 seconds to woot, that means you wouldn't have time to change your shipping address (unless your Superman), so your home is the place where your mother also lives?

Don't worry I'm not judging, just trying to be a good observer.

Happy Home Mother's Day, I mean enjoy your basement room of your parent's house! :]

Tell us what kind of sun exposure they need. Don't want to buy it without knowing that.

I think I'll get my wife and my Mom each a REAL rose bush. Maybe a rose TREE. Neither one wants miniatures. I'll let my wife take care of her own Mom.

Or you can, uh, go to your local gardening center, and likely get a bigger bush for about the same amount of money.

I'm a mother and a grandmother. I'd love to receive one of these. So I'll probably have to woot it for myself.

Awwww.

Basically, this Woot is for those who didn't think to take yesterday's Woot, which was actually a good Mother's Day present. It's sorta like waiting until 11:00 at night on Christmas Eve to do your Christmas shopping, and the only thing open is Walgreen's. As a result, you end up gettin those closest to you things like 25 piece puzzles, windshield washer fluid, and a bottle of aspirin.
