The bird’s ability to fly!
The fish’s ability to breathe under water!
The monkey’s ability to swing from trees
The cat’s ability to sleep endlessly!
The parrot’s ability to repeat words in a funny voice!
The [BLANK]’s ability to [BLANK]! (fill in the blanks in the comments)

The human animal's ability to:

  • build a plane, outfly the bird, or shoot the bird and eat it
  • Build a sub and travel farther and faster than a fish, or catch the fish and eat it
  • Chop down the trees (poor mr. monkey) and if absolutely necessary eat the chilled monkey brains. For dessert.
  • Kick the cat out of your bed, lock it in its carrier, and sleep as long as you want. Don't eat the cat, they taste terrible.
  • Be Mike Winslow and make the parrot die of envy. Too small to be worth cooking, give it to the cat as a consolation prize. Or return it as defective.

RE: Shrimp making sun spots. yes, its called a Pistol Shrimp. Another interesting class is the Mantis shrimps. They can strike incredibly fast and hard. enough to break glass in a tank or explode the shells of clams, etc.

Yeah, seriously. Breathing underwater, people! My biggest problem with swimming is always having to come up for air - what a bother. SCUBA gear is ok, but you can still drown if you screw up. I have ALWAYS wanted gills...I actually enjoyed the movie Waterworld for that reason.

Even on a cloudy day, I'll keep my eyes fixed on the sun...

The fish’s ability to breathe under water.

My biggest fear is water...
I literally CAN'T swim, I don't go anywhere near pools or the beach, and I have to take showers rather than baths.
Anything bigger than a small glass or water gives me panic attacks for fear of drowning.

An odd phobia, I know...

You never heard of turtle soup?

Also, when turtles are exposed to a hot environment (such as a boiling pot of water), they have neck glands which exude a substance, similar to our sweat glands. Hence the term, "turtle neck sweaters."

What about the King Clone? [That's a creosote bush one of my botany profs (Dr. Vasek) calculated to be more than 11,000 y.o. - and he did a conservative estimate.] There are MANY other organisms that reproduce by cloning, so who knows what & where the oldest Terran organism is?

You already can. Read how (google). Just need the right tongue click & general quietness.

I vote chameleon regeneration (since I need glasses), and we are almost there already with regenerating mice. One day it will be a shot. Aww, lost your legs in battle? Well it will be a month before you're running track again!
