I've had one for years, it's awesome except its not compatable with my cable companies new boxes. Check their list before you order.

Which cable box did you have this problem with? I have one and have used it with the component cables on several different models of the newer Samsung DVRs without a problem.

Another vote for Vulkano instead of Sling. They never admitted that capacitors were bad in many of these and forced people to pay for a extended warranty just to get what should have been a free replacement.

I switched to Vulkano's cheapest model and it streams 720P from my TiVo just fine. Their PC app is missing a few buttons on the virtual TiVo remote - but picture quality is superb (using Cox Preferred tier at both locations).

You can get a network device called a "wireless bridge" or I'm pretty sure most newer wireless routers can act as a repeater.

Even traveling a lot, between having cable in almost every hotel, hulu, netflix, every basic network having their shows available online, ESPN3 and HBO w/ HBOgo, this just seems like something I would never use. And I think all networks are eventually going to follow the lead and offer all of their programming on demand online rendering this all but obsolete in a year or so.
