I don't watch either..Only sports I watch is NFL and NASCAR..

Big12 Football and other NCAA sports.

It seems college sports is only place now where players truly actually give a crap about striving to be the best they can be.

Don't get me wrong, I love watching sports; and I still, I guess, root for my favorite professional teams.

But as classless as everyone (not just the players) has become, I unfortunately gave up on especially the NFL and NBA as a whole, years ago!

Look what happens when we put such value on artificial on entertainment. We treat people like gods and we put them on a pedestal just to mock them and watch them crash and burn.


Yet, right now we have an OWS society that would rather feed people's 'feelings' and mediocrity. We take a handout because we are jealous and envious toward the successful and hard working. We strive for cheap thrill of the meaningless 15 seconds of fame. We spend our society broke worshiping our cool celebrities with millions of dollars we don't actually have.

I wonder what would happen if we put that much effort and money into raising up our own children to strive for excellence and self control? If parents took responsibility and raised their own children individually themselves and instilled them with decent and respectable work ethic values, respect, and pride?

What kind of societal impact would that have on crime, unemployment, and our economy?

How bout a "Sort of both"...?

I know about 2 people who has ever been seen a pair of ice skates in person. We're waaaaaay to far south to give a crap about hockey.

Big on NBA but absolutely nothing beats out NFL and NCAA football.

Not particularly into either hockey (southern state) or basketball (objections to most everything about that sport), but hockey wins out. At least they show you the score when somebody scores.

Louisiana Texas Mississippi alabama and Florida all have several professional hockey teams.

Yeah, no. Of the remaining Eastern Conference teams, I'd rather see any of the other three. Was hoping for a Flyers/Kings final, actually. Can't wait to see Parise in a Wings sweater, tho...
