Damnit! No bluetooth or USB connectivity :(

I'd like to program this thing remotely so I can start it remotely from work using the HTTP server and have fresh coffee as soon as I get home.

I've got the Beyond Smart (new) coffee maker grind and brew, and I love it... so convenient.

But I'm not sure if I'd use a refurbed coffee maker... yuck. Who knows how much mold and crap was growing in it, even if they cleaned it?

I've heard that integrated grinder-brewers are terrible to clean, and end up being a huge headache. Anyone who's had one want to confirm / deny?

probably nice for the price, but I don't drink coffee (and yet, I'm a college student). I drink hot tea, so it'd be nice to have a tea maker or something of that sort on woot... just a suggestion! :-)

yay a coffe maker... might as well be a $60 toaster oven... College students+coffee+Cheap ass maker=happy student. Try $10 rather than $60

I have one of these (albeit I bought it NEW)... Works great, and it's nice having fresh coffee every morning. Also acts as my alarm clock with the BUZZZZZZ.

these thermal pots tend to absorb flavor and not make very good brew after a while... otherwise good machine...

Refurbish doesn't always mean taking a used one and reselling it. It often means re-machining one that failed quality verification before leaving the factory.

My parents have one of these, it looks nice and I've drank some tasty coffee they've brewed in it... but as far as how it functions and how durable it is, well that I cannot say.

Blech, I've had a bad history of getting refurbished items scratched or damaged externally. Might work fine, but the outside looks like it was the display item that somebody fiddled with until the inner workings broke.

Looks like they've got some pretty bad reviews over at Amazon (link follows). Apparently, the grinder tends to accumulate moisture from the steam created by the maker and makes the inner workings of it nice and ooey-gooey like the inside of an undercooked Krispy Kreme.

Not bad for a coffee pot, however I don't drink that hot stuff. Now offer me a Scoth dispenser, and that's sold.

A little too much for a refurbed model, especially since DH thinks there's nothing wrong with the coffee maker we have (but he's wrong).

COOL PODCAST!

Right, but you don't know whether or not it was used. if I don't know for sure it's new, especially if it touches my food or drink, then I am considering it used and yucky

I own this particular coffee pot, and it's not a big pain to clean. All parts are dishwasher-safe, so no big deal. You'll have to wipe down the interior parts sometimes; the coffee grounds can try and gunk up with steam from the brewing process.

As far as the coffee pot being "refurbished", I wouldn't think it's that big a deal. Cuisinart is first rate, and I'm sure they've done a good job of cleaning these boys up. And no, I don't work for Cuisinart. ;-)

This is my first post! Thanks, Woot!

Ive got one and love it. It makes good coffee and the grinder thingie is loud enough to serve as an alarm in the morning. Seriously, its loud, and my bedroom is next to the kitchen so it wakes me up very morning (intentionally). The threaml carafe keeps coffee hot all day long - its still hot when I get home from work in the afternoon. And its not that tough to clean out either - more trouble than a regular coffee maker but worth it for the better taste.

How does it compare to the my Woot Beyond Smart grind and brew? Same pain to clean? Better? Worse?

A lot of stores to choose from at Bizrate...
http://www.bizrate.com/...prod_id--11530432.html

Also, here's the Shopping.com Link and the Nextag.com Link. Not quite as good, but the more the merrier.

I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.
