I have missed many a sale that I would have liked, as pretty much anyone here could also say.

The fact is, it's a sale, there's a limited supply and it is first come first serve. When a store runs out, it runs out and that's that. They have no obligation to the 'runner up' just because you really wanted something but didn't get there first for one reason or another. Any glitches are not directed at anyone, and could just as easily happen to one person as it could to another.

In the end, if you miss the sale it's too bad, it happens. Whether it was your fault or not, things happen, mistakes happen, and just because a glitch showed up for you doesn't mean it wasn't fair. It just means you weren't as lucky as the person that didn't get glitched.

A few minor points to make: The total sum of units awarded didn't change due to these glitches - the misfortune of some very early in the process led to the success of others also very early but who otherwise would have been too late. Remember, receiving the 'already ordered' message did not indicate that you would have been positioned in the queue to "win" but that you were stopped from entering this queue for a chance to "win".

So to boil it down we're aware of some unfairness in the outcome and we will be investigating what data we have on who was affected (and of course what the problems were so we can fix them). I believe that we will have data sources tied to your account that will enable us to see the scope of the issue and communicate with those affected proactively (there should be no need to email member services or post here). I and other staff will be exploring some hopefully fun solutions.

After 4 years of expansion and evolution, we have made a lot of mistakes as well as a lot of progress. While it's certainly frustrating when we backslide or I am an un-original person to recognize new issues before they happen, we intend to continue applying our resources to best bring you entertaining events. We're often at our best coming up with creative solutions to challenging problems.

Look, you tried to get the first Baiting other consumers and failed, just as happens to most people most of the time; it's frustrating, sniff sniff. Ok, so here there was a special circumstance and woot offered more than one Baiting other consumers in a day ... way beyond the opportunities normally available. So hey, just pretend that there there was only one opportunity ... that, in effect, is what the software glitch produced. And multiple accounts have nothing to do with it; the people who got in line before you in the first Baiting other consumers did it the old fashioned way, by being faster than you. The only thing their multiple accounts did was let them go for the later BOCs ... but not even the second one, because they wouldn't have known yet that they needed a second account. In any case, their ability to go for a later Baiting other consumers had no effect on you, since you were already prevented from doing so. Their getting extra chances later didn't deny you your fair chance the first time ... the emotion you're feeling is envy.
