Mine shipped yesterday and I received the notice today. I only live about 2 hours away from woot headquarters, so I'll probably get it fairly quickly. Will let you guys know if it's been through a woodchipper like many seem to be afraid of.

Got mine today (Like I said- I only live 2 hours away from Woot Headquarters).

Camera came in a woot box with a plain brown box inside containing the camera and the accessory bag well padded with lots and lots of bubble wrap.

Camera looks brand new the the exception of a refurb sticker on one side (It's on there pretty good, but I took it off by carefully scrapping with a razorblade and getting the residue with some lens cleaner and a paper towel)

Picture quality is great (Not the best in the world, but fantastic for a $140 camera) with the exception of low-light, which was actually sort of poor on the intelligent automatic setting. Again, you're not going to see much better from similar cameras and especially not at this price. We were all told to expect this though, so no worries.

In fact, here is a sample low-light picture (I may have been a little harsh, it looks OK after I looked at it full screen) taken of an end table about 10 feet from me on zoom setting 8 (intelligent auto) in low-light like you would find in a dim bar or restaurant: Pikturz!

*Edit*

Image stabilization is fantastic, even at maximum zoom. Not world-class like on $2k+ DSLR's, but about as good as any point-and-shoot i've ever seen.

Very happy with my purchase.

I would take pictures...but I don't want to take them with my crappy iphone camera, lol.

I got mine today too, and I live in Minnesota, haha. That was pretty quick, since the fedex info only went out a couple days ago.

The camera looks great. The case is also really nice. It seems really durable and the magnet snap is nice.

Even though the camera looks great, I haven't had a chance to test it out because after I put in the card and turned it on, it said "this card is not formatted for this camera and is not adequate for taking videos." Is there some way that I'm supposed to format this card? I have never had a digital camera that has required this.

EDIT: Ok, I figured it out. Sorry, I've just never had to format a card to a camera before. They usually work automatically with no setup. All fixed now!

If you're confused like I was, hit the "menu" button, click the laft arrow and then the down arrow to "settings," and the format option is on the 4th page.

Got mine today. It looks brand new. My only complaint is that the zoom toggle thing feels a little loose. Other than that, I'm really happy with it.

FedEx Smartpost - has to be the worst service ever!!

Tracking put the camera at a regional distribution center about 75 miles from my home at 6:20am on Friday. It finally was passed to the USPS early Monday morning, and has been waiting at my local post office since 10:30am today for delivery tomorrow.

It's like the trucks are around 3 hours too late each day to get things moving along. Should have been in my hands no later than last Saturday.

Don't feel bad. Mine, scheduled for Thursday, just got pushed back to Friday. Whose idea was it to combine the two worst delivery options into one turd???

Received my camera today. LOVE it! Looks in perfect condition, can't see or feel any flaws. Came with everything described too. I am very happy with my purchase, I've already started shooting pictures and the quality is really good. I bought this to replace my 6yr old Canon that just isn't doing the job anymore and I like this one so much better.

Mine's taken a whole week (if you count presumed delivery tomorrow) to go 200 miles. It would have been here last thursday or friday if they had just dropped it in the priority mail bin to begin with. So far it's overshot by 300 miles and now crawling the way back.

Priority mail actually gets the job done quite well. Fedex, on the other hand, routinely delays packages to meet targeted delivery dates ("not scheduled for delivery")... not impressed.

I really hope it comes tomorrow. The waiting is killing me!

I feel your pain. I live in Kentucky and haven't received mine yet. I followed the trail and somehow it is stranded in Wisconsin!!! How in the world did it end up there??? I've read the manual on line and can't wait for it to arrive.

Now that it's only one state away, they've pushed it back yet another day!!!

This is like one step forward, two steps back!!!

Boo-hoo. Mine was shipped 04/28 and isn't scheduled to make it to me here in Seattle until 05/09.

Hopefully it doesn't take a detour to the Midwest first.

http://zzj.itf-inc.com/downloads/P1000108.JPG

Notes:

Great image quality. Indoor is a little weaker but still solid.
Flash is abit anemic.
"Intelligent Auto" mode does a great job in general.

Movies are limited to 8 minutes 20s due a restriction in MOV format limiting it to 2gb filesize. Outdoor videos are good, lowlight/indoor ones are workable but not awesome. Audio quality is ok. Just an extra anyways.

Zoom is godlike, and the extra 4x is nice (the special mode).

Bought two of this battery from amazon, works fine. No idea of battery life yet.

Image size is about 5mb per picture. 16gb card = ~3000 pictures or a hair over an hour of video.

Not messed around with the extra modes yet.

Controls are fairly intuitive, has both a quick menu and "normal" menu (get to the latter by clicking the center button). Note: pressing center button dismisses menu - press right to select.

Has very good image stabilization.

Refurb sticker is a serious pain in the ass to get off. Ended up using a bit of plastic to scratch it off (no damage to the camera, it's metal) then rubbed off the adhesive with a bit of cloth.

Case is nice, with a fairly solid magnetic closure.

Camera must be powered on to connect to PC. Would it kill camera manufacturers to add a simple usb-powered reader as to not drain the battery?

Screen is high quality, though a magnet for fingerprints.

BTW, the card that comes with it is a class 4, you won't be able to take HD videos with it AFAIK.

All told, very happy with it.

Well, now I am upset. It was supposed to be delivered Monday, then pushed back to Tuesday (because the post office doesn't pick up Sunday). Good, my day off, so I am waiting around.

Tracking shows it was delivered, yet I didn't receive it and have no idea We, the Hitchhikers it is.

Just walked back from the mailbox with the box in my hot little hands. Doh, everything perfect except they forgot the USB cable. Does anyone know what woot's policy on this is? Camera itself seems indistinguishable from new.

Despite FedEx's seemingly deliberate attempts to slow delivery time, I got my camera today.

100% complete package, everything that is supposed to be there is. Cosmetically all perfect. After charging the battery, all functions I've tried out work.

It will take me a few days to fully evaluate the photo quality, it's leaps and bounds better than the camera I am replacing. Basically, I bought this as a compact "carry-around" camera to supplement my Nikon DSLR which I use more regularly. I don't think I will be disappointed using it in that role. I didn't want to spend over $150 on a new camera to use like that, so this was a perfect fit for me.

^^ true. We're waiting to get some of these in from our vendor, so please don't be alarmed if you don't hear from us within the usual time frame. Just wanted to say that we are aware that a few of you did not get a case for whatever reason.

Just received my camera. It looks great, but the included battery was DOA. What? Charge the battery you say? Can't do it because the charger is the wrong model (per documentation)and the battery doesn't fit. Very frustrated.

After a few days with it, I've found a few small nitpicks, but overall I'm still extremely satisfied...especially when factoring in price!

-The format video is recorded in is extremely inefficient concerning file size. I hear the newer models (ZS7+8) use a different format. Oh well, those models are more than 2x as much and I don't record much video anyway.

-You really need to work to get decent photos in low-light. I was trying to snap a few pictures of something I was putting on ebay and it was a chore, but doable. Again, this was a known limitation of the camera.

-Auto focus has a very tough time focusing on anything closer than 6 feet away. Easily fixed with the awesome zoom, but if you're snapping facebook pics of yourself, etc....again, you'll need to work at it.

-The image stabilization, while excellent, seems to take a break once in a while. I've had to re-snap a few pictures that were blurry as all heck.

Again, great camera (MASSIVE improvement over the DMC-FZ3 it's replacing), despite the little nit-picks. The Nikon S9100 I really want is over $200 more for basically the same thing (functionally speaking) with just a little more polish and bells/whistles.

Mine arrived yesterday and it's great. Looks new, and battery, charger, and memory card all work fine. I wasn't expecting the case, but I'm glad to have it! I took a few indoor photos with mediocre lighting, and they turned out much clearer and sharper than what my six year old Canon SD300 took. Awesome deal!

I was pleasantly surprised when my camera was delivered to me here in Seattle today, a full three days ahead of its original schedule.

Mine came with everything and appears to my eyes to be no different from brand new, save for the refurb sticker on the side. Someone asked about the zoom noise, mine is nearly silent. Very little sound at all when zooming in and out.

Here's a shot from my office zoomed all the way out (click to embiggen):

And here's that same view, zoomed in to the full "iZoom" 16x:

I for one, am pretty impressed.

A few more test photos, just for fun.
