This truly has to be the worst woot ever.

I truly feel sorry for anyone who buys this, they are getting ripped off.

Woot, please fire the buyer who got this, they do not deserve to be there. This is quite pathetic.

Really sad that a persian rug and a tupperware set will both sell out before this rip off.

Wow, I am really suprised these little diamonds have not sold out!!!!!!! Who buys this cr@p. You can buy these in a dollar bin at any hardware store. For $12 you can buy a 50 piece set at wally world.

The key is to buy three, which spreads shipping costs over multiple items. Also, some of us don't pay tax, although those days are eventually coming to an end given the bottomless fiscal hole the country is in. They'll never cut spending, just tax more. Mileage tax on your car, internet, etc. Technically, you're supposed to report all your internet untaxed purchases at tax time as it is, but hardly anyone does. It's coming, though.

For the record, I report mine.

TY for sticking up for everything else, though. I'd be willing to be that at least some of our w00ters shop at Wal*Mart, so complaining about China is ridiculous.

That may be true in general. I use Craftsman myself. so don't have much experience, but my father owns a SOG and seems to like it well enough.

The point I think needs to be made here is that these bits are not SOG tools. They are accessories that are mass-manufactured by some factory in China and then shipped out to SOG, Craftsman, Stanley, or whoever else needs them. Spending the extra money for SOG-branded screwdriver bits when you could get the exact same bits at your local dollar store? Well, it seems like a waste of money to me.

Well, I haven't been using Google for a while. I have, however, been a w00ter for quite a long time. It makes me wonder if...oh, I don't know...there could be some info selling? I was here before Amazon, so I'm just curious.

I laugh every time I see a car with an "Hungry? Eat your import!" or "UNION--do not display this on an import" bumper sticker on a vehicle parked in the Wally World lot. Barely anything in that store not made in China.

You are probably a 1%-er if you save receipts on internet purchases, tally it up at year's end, and report it. Not saying you're wrong, but I'd bet 1% or less of people do that. Heck, 90% of them are probably unaware they are supposed to.

Fair enough. I've had mine for quite a while, so perhaps they're different. Still, I can't help but plug a good tool if I have one ;)

Not only is this a woot off killer, but this is not a good deal. After shipping, you're talking $12 for some drill bits? I'd suggest the local hardware store for any of you novice DIY'ers out there.

I bought:
Logitech Bluetooth headphones
San Disk 512mb MP3 & WMA Player
Bellsouth 10 Mile FRS/GMRS 2 Way Radios
Nexxtech 7" 16:9 LCD Portable DVD Player
Jepson Winery Mendocino Mix

I can buy a multi tool for 5 bucks at the flea market. Is it an SOG multi tool...no is a piece of crap. The same thing goes for bits and the rest. Flea market crap is flea market crap. Assumming SOG sockets are same standard as tools this is a good price. Dont compare harbor freight to snapon. Quality really does matter when you are talking about tools

Am old like 70s pontiac trans ams. 1st comp was Vic20. Learned BASIC on an AppleII. Atari1040st was first use of comp to go on "net" 87 phone modem into SUNY system

I do it. I've had enough stuff happen that I don't need an audit, too. Thank Goodness my husband had so many tools and taught me to use most of them before he passed

Considering they don't say what metal is used in these and that they're for a hand tool... These are incredibly overpriced. Having gone through quite a bit of bits over the years I can safely say that you do generally get what you pay for in regards to wear and tear.

However, here I can safely say you're paying for branding more than anything, and before you counter with your own experience with them, do let us know whether you used them in a power tool. Most bits that sell for less than this can handle hand tools just fine; so these doing so as well is hardly an achievement in that circumstance.

Whoa, just went from 90% to 60%. It should sell out before 5pm at this rate. I guess there's a demand for over-priced bits despite all the coal comments. Getting ready to start refreshing again, looking for that Bag of Coal.

Edit: 20% now!
