I'm using this to transfer 8mm video to DVD.

I can't seem to make the chapters work. In the setup for the disk I tell in every 5 min and I see the screen image yet oly can big one big honker video when I finish. I also tried making the happen using the chapter icon in a chapter menu after making the recording and can see it do that, yet soon as a leave the menu they are gone. Book has nothing on this at all.

Can anyone help me?

Anyone figure out how to do a hard reset of this machine?

Mine gets a little squirrelly and won't recogonize a burned disk that my 3 other DVD players don't have a problem with. The restore defaults option from the menu doesn't clear parental controls or passwords so not sure how good that reset is. Would a like to find a key sequence to blow everything away.
RCAs website is worthless.

Bought one of these, the box looked like it had fallen in a big, muddy puddle. The packing in it was all broken up and didn't look like it was original. I waited a while, and when I tried to use it found that it had no video output-from any of the available ports. Tried it on 2 diferent Tvs, no luck. Sent back to Woot for a refund. They always do take care of their customers-the big retailers could learn a thing or 2 about service from Woot!

Support by anyone on this is a joke. Woot does not know and RCA only has web support and they don't answer. Asked for RMA.
Darn shame because all I wanted was the chapter feature to work.......

I purchased this unit in April and am having an issue with it. I'm OK with getting it repaired and keeping it, but am unsure how to get it repaired under the 90 day warranty. The manual says to refer to the insert since the manufacturers warranty is void, however, there is not an insert in the manual with warranty instructions. Does anyone have one that I get information off of? Is there a phone # to call?

This was an OK machine until today when it died completely. Had random rotating LED segments on the front panel, then just no lights at all. Tried resetting by pressing power button for 10 secs but no luck. Anyone BTDT? I think I may be just SOL since it's over the 90 day period. Oh well good excuse to go buy that Oppo upconverting player I've been wanting!

Great for first day. then intermittant failure. finally, dvd tray stopped working.

no support from rca.

Worst woot ever. I realize you get what you pay for, but Woot really should not have put this thing out. The guys who sell bricks in camcorder boxes near the Holland Tunnel have more integrety.

I agree same thing happened to me. Woot did take it back but only after I had to cover the shipping to me and back to them. If the thing is carp Woot should cover the shipping. Would not recommend this model to anyone.
