I am logged on as ARGH but I am his sister and mother of the beautiful boy that appears many times on this site. What you did not know, as he intended it that way, is that my brother had Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) as well. He adored his niece and nephews and it broke his heart to know that Lucien would face many of the same challenges as he had. We lost my incredible brother on June 10th to complications of SMA and we miss him terribly. The woot fun, the crazy contests, and especially the community was a big part of his life for quite some time. It is so touching to peek on here periodically and see you unknowingly honoring him the way you have by keeping the SMA charity thread alive. Thank you and blessings to you all.

PS I would post an updated picture but I am not near as savvy as my brother and do not know how. If you are want to, e-mail me and I will send one to be posted.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of a brother, uncle, and friend. I didn't know him but all of your posts brought me to tears. It's easy to see why he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Bump to keep it on the top of the page until everyone sees it, which is at least a week, or until Gman comes home.

Let us remember ARGHs reason for keeping this thread alive.
He wanted a cure.
He wanted it for his nephew, the beautiful child.
We can help with that!
Do it!
Now!
Click on that link under the beautiful childs picture!
Send aliens sister the email and tell her!
Show her how much her brother meant to us!

Lets make ARGH laugh one more time!

Tell the web site you want the money used for research.

Me, too. There are a lot of good memories & moments of hilarity in the forums.

How come I got to be the balding dude, btw??? I can't tell you how many times I have had to tell people that I am female. Pffft!

in hindsight, you had to be the balding dude because coincidentally the other guy looks more like ARGH

This reminded me of ARGH. I didn't see much of him, but I think he liked "ducks". He had a picture (and then a link) of a pond with ducks in it, on one on the contest threads but I can't seem to find it.

Still single, can't imagine why.

I am stunned by this news...

Alien (I also know his name, but I leave it to his family if they want to reveal it) and I talked via PM about a friend of mine who died too young. He was there to help as he was facing the same himself.

My condolences to the family. He was obviously a great guy to be around, with a crazy sense of humor and a stunningly sensitive heart. Seldom did he fail to make me laugh with his silly posts.I hope the charity will be flooded with wooters' donations.

RIP, Alien.

My heart goes out to all of you and to his family. This poem was on the memorial card of a friend that passed last year. My condolences,

You spoke to those who were lonely, you comforted those in pain,

You brought out the sunlight, when outside it began to rain

Maybe if I try to remember, I can make it real

Oh, why when I find a friend, does God have to steal?
