Hey folks,

Those of you that provide checkers/trackers for the Woot-off do everyone a great service. Why not keep 'em centrally located? Please keep your Woot-off related links in World of Woot (say, this thread, even) instead of spamming every product thread. The Roombas will love you for it.

I like to think it's stable.. and fast.. I can't be the judge of that myself though.

Is there any working software trackers? I tried Woot Agent 2.0 but it's very laggy, it randomly pops up and makes the "new woot" sound, and most of the time it ends up just crashing.

How about checkers that work through a proxy??? I installed wootalyzer, but it won't work through my companies proxy. And Woot Agent just kept crashing.

Just use one of mine... they all work through proxys (as long as the site isn't blocked)

Yeah, I saw one of those and it opens up. I was looking for a software solution though. Or at least one that will automatically open up the page when it's the Bandolier of Carrots.

I'm trying to get the mobile tracker, but it can't find the program to open on my pc. Any advice? Thanks.

http://www.wootalyzer.com is a software solution which will open the buy page for Bandolier of Carrots, does not communicate directly off the smashed woot servers, and can even play the woot off theme song .

Yeah, I use this one at home, but it doesn't seem to work here at my workplace because of the proxy i am assuming.

You need a Mobile browser to view it (there are a few emulators out there, and opera will do it, but a normal browser won't)

I'm not sure why, but I can't get an audio alert. I selected the woot sound option, but I get no sound. Anything else I was supposed to do?

I really enjoy your site. Good stuff!

If woot screws up, and an item doesn't sell out in the RSS feed before the next item, it won't work right, but it should still work... It should be playing something tho (I'm using it currently)...

I'm not getting the audio feed either. Also the tracker is not updating when a new item appears.

Mine didn't refresh either. I had to do it manually. Now, it's tracking the percentages. I have IE 6.0.

It's possible... Try clearing your cache... it's using a javascript refresh, so it should work ok...

Ok so I cleared by cache. Right not the checker with sound is showing sold out for the bbq therm. and the simple checker is stuck at 68.1% for the bbq therm. And the TV is on the main page.

Im thinking about downloading firefox.

I wrote a little software checker/tracker for Mac OS X. You can get it at:

http://rcabell.googlepages.com/iwootbeta

It's new and probably has some bugs, hopefully not big nasty ones that will take down your computer, but nonetheless use at your own risk.

Item description updates every 30 seconds during a Woot Off, every 30 minutes otherwise.

So I said, hey buddy, your car was already upside-down when we got here, and as for your grandma, she shouldn't have mouthed off like that!

5 Bandoliers and counting...

Bugs in WootAgent 2.0 are being fixed and a new update should be released soon.

Here's mine: http://www.wootsup.com - side note - anyone hosting with Dreamhost? My site crashed the whole server last woot-off, so they moved me to a new server right away. I took the new server down today for a bit. Dreamhost tech support was super quick and responsive to fix it - I know people like to hate on Dreamhost, but they've been good to me, but I sure could do without the crashes. Anyone have any better suggestion for hosting?

I have 2... A VPS with SPRY.com, and colocate a server yourself... That's what Bandolier of Carrots was/is on now... (It was on a VPS, and is now on a server that I own 100%...)

dreamhost is fine, but I'd never use it for hosting a woot tracker.

Someone already hosts one on the same box as mine (multiple ones actually). Makes me angry cause the box has 15+ loads and I can't do anything on there that I want to do.
So it would be pointless hosting one on dreamhost for me.

I have all my personal sites on there, and my woot tracker on our dedicated server.

Not bad not bad.

Two things.

1) it brings up IE instead of your default browser. I ONLY use IE for kaspersky scans just to keep IE clean.

2) theres no option for it to auto-buy certain woots. I liked that on wootalyzer.
