Mr. Sorcererer, I'm sorry, but the same thought keeps popping into my head: was this before or after the contest was announced?

Mr. Zero, I think there could be a real market for a combination anti-itch cream/sandwich spread.

Well, gwp, you may be wrong, and it's female genitalia she associates porcupines with. If so, she has an aspect to her I never knew.

The subject of porcupines has never come up before this contest, to the best of my recollection. It's the kind of thing i'm sure I would remember.

I just run across images using Google, and they inspire me.

I am afraid to look for the actual phrases since I am at work. I will settle with other inspiration like normal powders and household products (Not to say that your entries are lame since you do good work).

anyhow here is another entry

The other way to do it is to convert your image to paletted. You should be able to select a palette type that allows you to change the number of colors. The advantage of this is that it allows you to edit the final colors it uses. I didn't like the dull colors I got with corel trace, so using the palette conversion, I got a version like this:

This image will now Trace to give you the vector version as well, without changing the colors.

Suggestion: set dithering to 0 if you want to convert to vector.

Still single, can't imagine why.

that is so awful, good work. So many good ones, but I stick with my original vote. Glad I could help inspire you. DarkZero helped get me going as well since he thought of different products.

The title of this contest is "Painful Rectal Itch." Seems a little repepetetetive. Is there some other kind of rectal itch?

What are the steps to convert your image to paletted?

IMAGE-->MODE-->INDEXED--> ???????
At this point I 'm not sure how to get it to just 6 colors

When you convert an RGB image to Indexed, the dialog (in both GIMP and Photoshop) includes a default value of 256 colors. This value is changeable to any number from 2 to 256 before executing.

In Corel Painter Essentials, you must save the image as a GIF. It then gives a choice of 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, and 256 colors.

That's all the editors I have.
