Could you make the shirt a different color. I think it's too close to the black basket.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

Dr. J, is his shirt the only thing that uses that color? Mabe you could make it cranberry (the same as teh reddish treats), that frees up a color for teh tennis ball.

It's the shadow inside the basket too. I have to define the basket somehow. If I used asphalt for the shirt itself, I could use the asphalt for the inside of the basket, and free up a color. Then I might use cranberry or the off-white color for the puppy's shirt.

Dr. J,
My head is spinning, I can't keep track of the colors anymore. If I am seeing it right, you're using two colors for dark shading, dark brown and dark gray (dark olive?). mabe you could use just one dark shade, a nice neutral dark gray, for shading, use the cranberry for his shirt. Dropping one dark shade frees up one...I think.

edit: or just go with the asphalt like you said.

Yeah, I'm probably being self-indulgent keeping the two shadow colors. hmm. if I used asphalt for both shadow colors, and the shirt color itself, I could free up two colors, and have two yellows for the ball, so I could define the lines on the ball.

not in a million years. That's not our black cat either (Cookie). It's just a generic, Target- available plastic Halloween treat holder. If they had Target in doggy-world, that is.

I thought of an idea over the weekend, but I couldn't figure out how to render it without it getting too complicated. I sketched a layout on paper and Mrs. 1 didn't like it. It was a down-the-street scene, shows a couple of bars, with a couple of guys being thrown out the (ground-story) windows. In the foreground would be a yellow caution traffic sign showing the same thing. Title: "CAUTION: Defenestration Zone."

aww, i love defenestration...

I guess if I'd thought about it earlier, I could've done something along the lines I did for my senior square (my high school was farily new, and they gave graduating seniors a 1 foot square to paint with whatever they want (within some obvious bounds)), which I did as a sort of city scene with something I may yet one day turn into a flash cartoon series...

yikes. question though. i recently ordered and received a woot tee shirt and was surprised the graphic was so small. is this what the finsihed tee would look like or do they just put a small graphic on the chest?

They print it as big as 16X20. This one is set up to print as big as they will, and should look roughly like the detail picture of the kraken on the shirt image, here:

When you look at the shirt.woot page, it ought to look like the final shirt you get. If it doesn't look like that picture, then complain, they ought to fix it.

A lot of the contest winners have been complained about for being way to big on the shirt. This one, I want to be as big as they will make it.

yeah! It's a T-shirt design. If it wins, people could buy it next Friday. Voting for a shirt doesn't mean you have to buy it. It just means that you'd like it, or you like me. In other words, it costs you nothing to vote for it.

nope. snakes. snakes that only he can hear. He likes the toy snake, but unseen noises must be snakes, and he's scared of them.

Had to be someone else voting for it at the same time.
I already gave it one vote before.
Two more votes wouldn't have been enough, but it was on the hot list when I was done!

psssst. Mr no1.

I noticed/realized something this evening. FYI, most of the voters on the T-shirt contest must be women. Look at the top shirts. Which ones are manly of those shirts? any?

No! I have to go all the way to the red dragon before I got to a certainly man- oriented shirt. it only has 98 votes.

plan accordingly next time.

You don't think Zombie Unicorn is more male oriented? Although only a few votes difference.
