Hi folks. Here's the design I've been working on for two days. I need serious comments on it. Specifically, should I submit this week, or should I use it as a daily? It kinda fits the theme, but.... I dunno... I love the way the monkey came out too much to waste it... came to me in a dream, actually.

Nice one Skek! I think the competition might be too strong - tgentry's and ramyb's are probably locked into the top spots already. I say daily.

Yeah, I saw that. The man is a serious artist, and when he hits one far, nobody can come close. I think seeing it gives me ideas on how I could do the same- it looks like a simple use of airbrush to get the tonality, then a halftone filter to convert it to dots. But man does it look sweet.

I'll hold off on it for the time being. Oh, and I noticed the front table leg was "see-through-able, and fixed that.

That's hot. Am I going to get in trouble for my detail image being a bit different than the shirt comp? All the elements are in the detail image, just not to scale...

bah, like it matters for my entries any more!

I love the olives and hope that Martini Monday takes off! It's every bit as classy as Manhattan Thursday, and maybe more since it's got olives instead of marischino cherries!

Manhattans are easy:

2 parts whiskey/scotch/bourbon
1 part sweet vermouth
dash of "aromatic bitters"
marischino cherry

The lovely Mrs. 9226 prefers her manhattans sweeter, with a 1:1 ratio of whiskey/sweet vermouth plus a touch of the marischino cherry juice...

Nothing but class in a martini glass!

sadly, we don't have any martini glasses. everything else, fo sho.

seems like a lot of alcohol with 2 pts whisky, 2 pts scotch, and 2 pts bourbon, plus 1 pt vermouth. but boy, I guess Mrs 9226 can hold her liquor, if she has that PLUS that much vermouth.

The beauty part is that in one of those smaller glasses it looks tough AND classy... Try that with your mojito, you pansies!

Only one maraschino cherry? Can't live without 3 or so. Then, there's additional goodness at the end... cherry bombs!

less room for alcohol if there's too much fruit.

There's never too much fruit. Just cut back on the mixers... I personally like whiskey sours, hold the sour.

We're running out of days to celebrate here.

My dad has friends who have a different drink for each day of the week. They say "we're not alcoholics. Alcoholics drink the same thing all the time. We drink something different every day."

Moderation in everything and we'll all be okay.

My wife got me the small tablet during the last Wootoff for me as an Xmas present. Might take it for a spin tonight.

unfortunately, kids only give me time to type, not to doodle.

Well, one day you'll wonder why they stopped bugging you and you'll have even more to worry about-- where are they? who are they with? what are they doing? why are they so quiet?

Yeah, I know. At least now it's like a rhino with a bell- they're fun and naughty and ornery but also innocent and adorable.

The big question will be: Where ARE they?

Just think back to where you WERE. That place or something like it is probably where they ARE. And isn't that enough to scare you to death?

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

My kids are real sneaky, they'll make a fuss/mess/ruckus in area A, to distract us away so they can get into whatever we're doing at area B.

I'm not looking forward to their teen years...

Someone commented (indirectly but correctly) that this week's entry just isn't up to the level of pucker quality that people, even I, expect. That, and I think a pucker entry with zero votes would be kind of cool.

And I think that most of the people who support my entries will see my pleas in these forums and help me achieve this goal!

Thank you for your (lack of) support!
