Sounds like you are having a good time! I love visting new places when I do my family research. Haven't gotten to do it in a couple years. You're making me miss it.
Yikes, those have to be some of the ugliest dresses I have ever seen!
Oh, definitely having a good time. Lots of driving, but well worth it. It has been nice to "escape" this week...physically & mentally.
KtCallista wrote:KT - Thank you for posting all the beautiful pics. I can't even choose a favorite!
I haven't had much time for posting lately, but I have been checking in on Misfits. Seeing the pictures is relaxing to me!
I gotta get back to working on the job application now. Still not sure how I got talked into this one. 4 hours to the deadline. . .
Good luck with the job app! What are you applying for?
tennbeekeeper wrote:Hi! I am up WAY late for me, but just had to say that I enjoyed spending time with KT today! She did see my M&D's Akita (Bear), the dog that is blowing his coat. If you pet him right now, you will come away with enough hair to make a right good rain cloud or another dog.
Tomorrow will be a good picture-taking day for KT, as we will hit the countryside. BUT, KT, you should've asked me if that was okra or not! L O L You will have to come back to eat lunch there some Monday to get the tomatoes baked with bread in them (scalloped tomatoes, I think they are called).
Off to bed... and looking forward to a nice day in the country tomorrow. KT might see more of the "child abuse" clothes where we are going!
Me, too! It has been a load of fun! "Blowing his coat" is definitely a new term for me. Bear is a sweetheart. Your mom & dad were very gracious and friendly...please thank them again for the offer of the overnight stay.
I look forward to breakfast & our visit to Monteagle today!

Yes, indeedy. Tennbee asked about you...and Tall. (I didn't tell her ALL of the dirty secrets!) Seeing as how she will be moving back to TN soon, you should arrange a road trip with Tall to meet Tennbee.
tennbeekeeper wrote:Baby bee will only be seen in a dress like that if she is in some sort of dance contest and we are promised we will not have to pay for or keep the dress.
Oh, and I forgot to say that I really like KT's hotel room. That does look like a very good room, though she could've taken some of the dog's hair to stuff the pillows a bit fuller.
Heh. Poor baby bee...
The hotel was nice...very comfortable. I am glad I stayed as I got a...RAZOR from Guest Services! I have been traveling without one as I was unsure if I could pack one because of airport regulations. So I have been suffering for...5 (!) days without one. I just have been on the go so much that it hasn't crossed my mind to stop off at a drugstore to get one. Ahhhhhhh...finally...
dontwantaname wrote:You went home just to see KT?
She did! Wasn't that nice? She flew from NC to TN!
tennbeekeeper wrote:I just hope KT will have a good time. This is just stuff I like to do!
OH, oh, oh, FEN....
Thank you for the beautiful Christmas card! I will put you a card in the mail in the next few weeks. Not a Christmas card, most likely, but something. As you can tell, we check that P.O. Box about 3 times a year; I think the last time was in September! I know that is odd, but I was just so glad the box got such a pretty card. Plus, I loved the picture you included of the flower. THANK you! KT got to witiness the opening of the card which I thought was really special, too.
It has been fun. No worries. I have been enjoying my stay.
Fen's card was pretty funny. He apologized for not making up a typed address label & not using his trademark silver pen on her card. It sounded sincere but half lazy. It was hilarious. His photo with the stamp of "FEN'S FOTOS" with his IP address was pretty funny as well. He does do a good job with the photography thing. Poof even suggested he major in Photography. Not a bad idea...
tennbeekeeper wrote:Yep. I wanted to make sure she got to see some of TN from someone who grew up here. She got the boring tour today of where I grew up! L O L
This is the first time I have been away from baby bee, too, but KT is special and I wanted to be here for her.
Oh. Not boring at all! You know I love looking at real estate! It is kind of funny to see her get impatient with traffic. A line up of 10 cars is nothing in Massachusetts, but is the end of the world for Tennbee. I learn a lot of interesting things when wooters drive!!!
gwp wrote:What a wonderful thing to do. She couldn't have found a tour guide who could show her the sights nearly the way you can. Especially since you got her to try collards.
(Did she use vinegar on them?) (I had collards with fatback earlier this week in fact) Never cared for okra much myself. Pork BBQ? M-m-m!
Can't wait to see the pictures that come out of today's travels.
Edit: And it was nice 'talking' to you on the phone too!
Heh. I agree...nothing better than a personal tour!
No vinegar. Straight up, son.
I may have grits this morning...we'll see.
Tennbee got to text message you and McGuffy, but...McGuffy didn't realize Tennbee was a SHE! LMAO! heh. (Sorry, McGuff.)
Until later...time to shower and use my RAZOR! Ahhhh...life is better again!
