i've heard custom tailored suits in hong kong are also rediculously inexpensive, so I figure if I ever go there, I'd get one made

Great pictures, KT. Love the teapot fountain. Any idea what kind of corn that was, and did you have any of it? I take it you're home and recovering from jet lag.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

It was "black corn." I asked someone if it tasted like yellow corn and the reply was "yes." I didn't have it, but it was something I didn't expect to see...so I took a photograph of it. "Hairy crab" was also big there this month. *Shiver*

Yeah, slept until 4pm today. Going to bed soon so I can get back on track.

My sister called and asked - "Where's next?" So, I better start thinking...maybe the Badlands? Devil's Tower? Mt Rushmore? Alaska? Spain? Thailand? Texas again?

Hey...you didn't mention anything about the "Bum" wipe.

Good one. Did you use them?

Let's see. If you're driving to Texas you could stop here. Otherwise, we're not on your route. If you decide on Alaska, let me know, I have tips.

LOVED the pics, KT!! As usual, your eye for a great picture was impeccable.
Where next? How about NW Ohio?

Maybe...I didn't mind Ohio...but generally I like to go where I haven't been before or...in a state/country that I wish I had more time to visit.

China was okay...been to better places, but it was a worthwhile experience. I can cross it off my "to visit" list.

Well, it looks like I won't be going anywhere too soon...

I have been doing steady contract work (4-5 years) for a design firm and they cut me back to PT status today. So, I am either going to have to pick up another PT client or move on to something else completely.

I totally understand and am not angry with the principal because there are people hurting a lot more than me. She could have cut marketing out months ago. I only have two small mouths to feed (my kitties) whereas a bookkeeper in the same company got cut all together and she has a whole family with kids, dogs, cats and all...I feel badly for her.

Maybe next year...

Nobody is *doing* real estate...that's the problem.

This week, I have been able to get front row parking spots at the grocery store (twice - once @ Shaws and once @ Stop and Shop) and at a major chain store(Target). Something is terribly wrong with the economy. People are definitely not venturing out to shop.

KT, Great Pictures! I'm glad you had a fun trip. How bad was the language barrier? Where you able to do well with what you learned from your cramming session (other than paying way to much for a cab?)

KtCallista wrote:How bad was the language barrier? Where you able to do well with what you learned from your cramming session

Bad...it isn't like the "romance" languages at all...several of which I can muddle my way through...Chinese is very difficult - almost mathematical. I wish I had studied this in college, but then they said that Spanish was going to be the "top" language in the world. I managed simple words like "Ni Hao" and a few others.

You remind me of my best female friend, Jewlz,...this is something that she would likely say.

I love this time a year. I LOVE HALLOWEEEN! It simply has the best colors associated with it - purple, black, orange, green, white...and I love the fantasy involved with wearing a costume. So much fun...I hate the beginning of October (as it is associated with my ex-husband's b-day) but towards the end here...it is fantastic. This is the month in which I adoped all of my kitties...If I were to get married again, I'd do it on Halloween. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~!

I think we should all photoshop ourselves in a costume that we'd likely wear if grownups were to trick or treat...

Boston Public is a wonderful show!
Betty White was on all the daytime talk shows today promoting it.
I wonder who cast this? I hope he/she got a lot of money.
