I am trying to...I know he's been interested for almost a year. I am not sure I am physically attracted to him, which could be a downfall from the get-go.

I also think he's pretty straight-laced...not sure he'd put up with my antics.

He's supposedly smart...we'll see.

I have some strict criteria about some things.

Hell, it is one date...if nothing sparks, I can suggest being friends.

I met zilla last night for a little while since he was visiting New England for work.

He calculated that he is banned from woot for like 115 years or something like that. He was only slightly bummed as he was one away from getting his black box.

He was, of course, very flirty and affable.

I don't think he understood how variable New England weather can be as he was wearing shorts.

He had a funny accent...and talked about "round abouts". Around here, they are called "rotaries," I explained.

Nice guy overall.

"flirty and affable" - almost exactly how Tall described him, too.

He's very touchy-feely...

I explained that New Englanders are kinda stand-offish, in general.

We rarely make eye contact in elevators nevermind saying, "hello".

Sounds like a good night anyway.

----makes note to self, if ever meeting people from New England, they don't like touchy-feely. . .

-round-abouts/whatever you called them. . . we call them bad traffic management. I think I have driven on two (one was temporary) the other is known as the-insane-circle-thing-with-no -point.

I was just thinking, our church has designated hugger (she hugs each person on their way in!). People here frequently touch while just chatting. It's not weird for someone you don't really know to hold your shoulder or arm while talking.

There was a girl at school who used to sometimes put her hand on my arm a lot, also calling me "hon" often, even though she had a live-in boyfriend. I think it was just how she treated everyone, though, but it reminded me of another girl who seemed to be interested in me, but I was not interested in her (didn't find her very attractive, and she reminded me a lot of my mom, in a bad way). The way both of them rested their hand on my arm, though, struck me as possessive, and I honestly found it rather offensive (especially from the interested girl)... they didn't own me.

Some people just have to be touching to talk! It is strange when you talk about it, because in most cases they probably aren't even aware they are doing it. It doesn't bother me, but I am cool with touch and I've been known to get a bit touchy-feely.

I can be a bit touchy-feely too. I've become more conscious of it as I got older and try to be more careful about it.

He is charismatic.
He oozes charm.
Hubby just met him for a few minutes and he said so too.
The guy should run for office or something.
I would vote for him and I know we are polar opposites politically!
