Can't say I didn't have similar happen in lab classes, at least you stuck around, I actually had some professors leave occasionally. They would be in their office.

So what is the goal of lab today?

So I just got out of orgo, and I'm always amazed at how people start packing up and talking as soon as the professor so much as hints that the class is about over....The professor is still talking (you know, reminders like - such and such modeling exercise is due monday, our first test is next friday, have a good weekend) and yet people are completely ignoring him and talking to one another etc. I'm amazed that people still do this in college (I would have thought that would have been left behind in HS or MS even).

So true. And it's not just there. If it's really bad, I usually say something like "oh ok, guess you didn't need to know that Z I talked about today is going to be one of the essays on the exam, where I.... " if the noise quiets, I go about my lcture. If it stays noisy, I keep going with the exam question. It's not always true, but usually it is for those that are still attempting to pay attention.

Thats real unfortunate. It's sad that you'd have to resort to tactics that teachers in MS/HS have to use....except on college age students, just to get their attention. What ever happened to wanting to learn/the pursuit of knowledge?!

Thanks, I always loved labs. . . wasn't always good at them, but I loved them just the same. The only skulls I have are Peromyscus maniculatus and a Thomomys

From Red Robin I like the spicy chicken tenders so I would imagine something medium with some nice dipping sauce at other places.

If I hear one more person talk about the awesomeness of Red Robin, I'm gonna kill someone... The nearest one for me is 60 miles away in Delaware, and all I got here are McD's, BK, and Wendy's... not even a Sonic.

If it makes you feel better the nearest Red Robin is 2 hours away in WA and the last time I was there I got sick because I am allergic to the soap they use. We don't even have a BK.

I'm still sad that our iHOP closed... I know I can make my own pancakes, and can even nuke the syrup. But I never had the sheer OPTIONS of iHOP. Each pancake could have a different syrup!
