I know its been said, but I logged on this morning and saw the Kafka references and laughed so hard I spit coffee on my screen. Please woot, bring up a flat panel soon, and thatks for the literary reference. You Guys Rock.

My 2GB player that I got from woot a few weeks ago is simply the best mp3 player I've ever used. The device has a HUGE battery life and mine looked like it was brand new, never used.

To those of you worried or on the fence: you're ALWAYS going to have a chance of getting crap when you buy refurb (rox0rz!). Once in a awhile the company won't do very good quality control. However, probably 90% of these are returns from people who thought they were getting an IPod or something. Sucks for them, because this is better than an Ipod.

I've had to return stuff to Woot before and it was easy, so go ahead and take the plunge.

I bought the SanDisk Media Player that was offered here a few weeks ago. My daughter tells me it won't upload MP3 files, only windows media files. Is that true of this player also? Or is she doing something wrong? Anyone?

You don't have to use any software like Windows Media Player or Winamp to put files onto this. Plug it in, open the drive, drag and drop.

I bough the other 1GB Sansa and have not yet moved any of my music to it. The color screen is pretty pathetic. You can hardly see which item is highlighted. I messed around with the brightness and other settings to no avail. Well I am off to find the manual.

My brother has this and likes it a lot. I'm buying one for my mom for Christmas. Gets the job done for the price, especially if you're looking for an alternative to the more pricey iPod. It is definitely better than the Philips Sellout.woot had yesterday...

Bought the 2GB e250 back in November and LOVE it.

They sold something like 30,000 of the e250's, so I was hoping they would sell more sansa's sooner or later. Anyway, this one isn't getting shipped smartpost, which makes for a safe bet i'll get it in about a week. this is what I call a great Christmas present.

thanks w00t!

Ouch.

Never buy a Sansa, Zune, or Mustek camera off ebay. They will show up on woot eventually.

The nieces want Ipods....But I can's see spending that much on 10 year olds....Are these a good deal? Will they be platered with REFURBISHED all over them? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Buy.com has this same price and you can get $10off for using google checkout with a new email address. For another $10 I just ordered an 8gb model. Bad woot.

And to the people that are bitching about the REFURBISHED being stamped into the back, it was mentioned in the description. Always read before you buy.

I bought the 1gig on thanxgiving & am happy with it so may get the 4gb. However, the sync took approx 1/2 hour on Rhapsody. Is this normal?
I have been using Ipod with Itunes so I am used to "instant" sync.

I then looked at Windows Media Player 11. Love this and prefer this to Rhapsody but it only imported my podcasts. My music is on itunes and I do not know how to move it onto WMP.

How do I get my music on both itunes and WMPlayer?

Be Careful what you wish for...at least my smartpost item (Sansa e250 from last time) finally showed up. I've got 2 roombas and a scooba in limbo at FedEx's hub, they apparently cant find my house, even though they find it sometimes. Multiple calls to FedEx haven't helped. This isn't the first time either. One time they delivered my woot to the totally wrong house, assuming that I meant 292 instead of 29 as my house number. I had to wander down to a random person's house to get my woot!

Beware: Woot doesn't care to honor the "90 Day Warranty," so if you get a busted headphone jack, like I recieved on my 2gb unit, you're SOL. Looks like a botched refurb (rox0rz!) job. >:\ I'm trying to fix it myself, but I need to get a replacement part. :\

I grew up when the walkman was the rage. Then everyone realized it was kinda wierd and uncomfortable walking around with a plug in your ear and getting ear wax over everything. So it died out. I guess everyone has to have one of these cuz everyone else has one? I mean... I like muh tunes, but every once in a while I do like to hear myself think.

DON'T BUY THIS!!!

I bought one from Woot about a month ago, IT DOES NOT WORK. The unit does not power on and Woot will not return my emails. I read the discussion board a couple weeks later and there were at least a hundred people saying that either the unit would not power on or would not hold any charge.

DON'T BUY THIS and make the same mistake I did.

To the contrary, I've had excellent and timely responses and problem resolution from WOOT customer service. I hope your situation gets resolved soon.

Glad to see they didn't go with SmartPost again on the Sansa Players. Congratulations on learning from THAT particular mistake Woot. As for the player: GREAT device, especially with Rockbox. Rockbox recognizes directory structure and has a really intuitive bookmarking system.

Did you switch the dail from volume to scan mode (sub menu change)? It plows fairly quickly through a large file. Equal to other MP3 players (non Sandisk) I've had.

They haven't responded to mine either about the broken left channel on the headphone jack...

However, the battery issue might be similar to what my 2gb sansa was experiencing.. It would charge, but then turn itself off when it had only used part of that charge. Turns out, the contacts on the battery had some slight corrosion on them like the unit had sat for a year in a cold, damp warehouse, which is likely. some rubbing alcohol and a q-tip later, and the unit charges and stays powered flawlessly. You might try looking into that. You have to remove the metal back to get to the battery though, but it's just like a regular cell phone battery. Sandisk's own customer service advised I do that, so I did, and I'm happy.

(btw, install rockbox on your player.. You won't be sorry. You can even play Doom on it! :D)

Will FedEx Home Delivery ship to a college campus? Or is it only to residential neighborhoods?

I bought the e250 2Gb version of this WOOT and absolutely love it. The refurbish letters on the back are just a sticker so they remove "VERY EASILY". They don't come with the packaging but all you would do is throw it away anyway so they saved you the trouble. It comes with everything you'd need and I downloaded the newer software from their website. I watch movies on it, listen to music on the FM tuner which gets great reception, listen to my music files, and use it for data storage. I added a 2Gb microSD card so now it's a 4Gb unit. I love this little mp3 player and everyone I've shown it to thinks it's great as well. They all want one, especially when i tell them what I paid for it. I highly recommend it!

SmartPost uses your local Post Office to deliver, so wherever you get mail you get your item... that includes P.O. boxes

If you get one of these be sure to try RockBox on it

It's an opensource firmware that provides a themeable interface and adds stuff like games and last.fm integration

If it is the same one I bought a few weeks ago, it is a Rhapsody. She can download regular MP3's by changing the player in settings from rhapsody to ..my music..I think it is something like that..I am sorry I don't have mine here with me..but one way your computer will see the sansa as a mass storage device and she can just drag and drop mp3s into it.
