So basically she can't afford a party for 100 people and somehow you got suckered into doing it!

Just read a description in a comic strip:

Someone is three octaves below cantankerous and 45 tablespoons northeast of surly.

I immediately thought of someone I know.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

In all fairness, me, the wife, the sil & bil, and the mil will be prepping. I suspect a couple other friends will show up early on Saturday to help with the arrangements . . .

Chore: Annoying repetitive task that keeps you from doing the jobs that you've been meaning to get to.

Job: Annoying maintenance task (generally around the house) that keeps you from watching the game on the weekend.

Work: Annoying place of employment that keeps you from concentrating on what chores and jobs you have to do on the weekend.

I'm doing good, just busy all the time. I still do Sat. breakfast and was just walking out the door when I checked here to see if there was any replies. Gotta run, time to round up the herd for feeding time.

Sweet! Did it stay a surprise? Were there as many people as you thought? I sure couldn't have done it. I'd be ready for the looney bin trying to do what you did. Details? Did you get people to help clean up or do you have a job list for today?

I think he was surprised at the number of folks - and definitely surprised at who came - some folks he hadn't seen in years and years.

We ended up with just under 50 folks . . . everything went very smoothly. And we had plenty of family and family friends pitch in toward the end to straighten things up. So, once everything was under way, I relaxed and got a little loose!! And I don't even feel bad this morning!!

Only a few dishes left this morning and they've been cleaned and put away. Decorations are all down and Flash is beggin' for the balloons!!

In-laws are comin' back this afternoon for the games and pick up their leftovers and help put the house back the way it was pre-party.

All in all, a grand success!!

Flash loves it too!! But he can't play w/o barkin' up a storm, so we only play for short periods . . . with long breaks in between!!
