We were arguing so that he didn't hear the part that said "stay on 121 for 14 miles." He drove the whole way there and that was after we had already been doing the highway practice. When we got close he was "God, are we ever going to get there?" He made me drive home so I went to IKEA first, driver's choice. Made him walk through that. He was pushing me most of the way. "You hear that kid crying? Yeah. That's going to be me in 15 minutes." Then I got to play the radio in his car. He hates having the radio on but it's driver's choice. I told him anytime he fiddled with it that I would take a scenic detour.

All in all, he did quite well. He didn't like it, but he did well. I feel better about him on highways now even though he'll avoid them whenever he gets a chance.

does he dislike highways even when he's not driving? is he just not a fan of being in the car? did he have a bad experience in the car as a child?

AZGson was the same way until he had to drive to Georgia (albeit w/ his mom in the car and me trailing in the truck). Now, he's prolly ready to try anywhere . . . except NYC . . .

yeah....but at least I didn't just switch the alarm off.....been known to do that without waking up. Problem this morning was that, lately ,Tanners has been sleeping beside me, so I have to actually lean up and reach over him to get to the alarm....this morning he was snuggled in on the other side of me so all I hadda do was move my arm to get to the alarm.

So hey - its the dogs fault I overslept (yet another take on the ol' homework thing)

I had to move my alarm clock to the other side of the room because I turned it off without waking up one too many times...

The clock I currently have has never been on my side of the room... I picked it because it has giant numbers that I can read even without my glasses. :D
