Congrats on the raise! I'm hoping for one in the form of employment. When I was with the state I only got two raises (one last year) because the state had a moratorium on raises for 5 years. Talk about losing money to keep working!

Hiyagain, K'lista! Did you manage to get some actual sleep?

Reporting back with my lunch results. Cafeteria selections were below par. Ended up with a cheeseburger that was average and some roasted potatoes that were very peppery. But, the piece de resistance (or however that would be spelled) was the dessert.

I can't remember the last time I had an ice cream sandwiches. I used to make them at the arcade. Two cookies that didn't sell earlier and were put in the freezer, soft serve in the middle. Refreeze. Pull out and dip in chocolate dipper pot thingy if you are really bored, sprinkles or nuts on some.

Mmmm. Mine was just your typical rectangle cookie wafer variety - but I'd been craving one since Gman's been talking about them a few weeks ago. Shoulda gone to the salad bar to see if they had strawberries today. Dag nabbit.

I made strawberry shortcake yesterday for dessert. Homemade biscuits, fresh strawberries and cool whip. It needed real whipped cream but I was way too lazy!
