Cruzer, will they postpone the memorial service until your mom can be there? If your dad (or mom) can't make it, get someone to video tape it for you. They can send a short personal memory/message for someone to read during the service as well. I found it very healing to write a message for my brother's funeral even though I was there for it.

I believe that we are going to video tape it for my dad. Sadly, I cried more for my first puppy than I have for my dad or grandfather. It still kills me to think about that dog.

For some reason, and I'm probably alone in this, but I really like Daj's current sig. That girl just cracks me up. I don't understand why, but it does.

I don't mind her so much as others.

I didn't cry at my moms funeral...altho I did cry when my brother called to let me know she was gone.

with my mom I felt that she was finally at peace and where she had wanted to be ever since my dad died...with him and the daughter she lost. That was a long 18 years for her after my dad died.....a long 18 years for everyone.....

I am not a crier either. Orc had to teach me to cry to let stuff out. It's easier now, but still largely a conscious decision. You can let it out without crying, but for some reason the tears method is easier. If I don't have a task to do, I don't mind being the shoulder for others to cry on.
