I had friends with a dog and when they got the cat, he hated it....until he realized that the cat could jump up on the counter and knock down food. Cat knocked it down. Dog opened it. Both ate. win/win for the animals!

well, he might have had help in eating the spoils but am sure hes the instigator. he's the biggest one in the house and I have caught him counter-surfing - he'll actually stand on the step stool I have in the kitchen...or if he thinks I'm not around will actually place his front paws on the counter to assist in his surfing.
