Cards are fine, just an acknowledgement is all that's necessary. We agreed to skip cards all year round a few years ago. Birthday, Christmas, Anniversary, Valentine's Day. After 30-some years you get tired to looking for the right one.

We've pretty much cut out gifts, but still get cards. We could probably give each other the same card every year (and I think I have repeated a card or two) and save some money each holiday. Hmmm... will have to ponder that idea.

They are teaching them to use mental pictures to remember the defs. I use mental images to remember things and all I can remember are the images.
