yeah - the hyperthyroidism is like Graves Disease in humans - controlled with meds or can get radiation treatment - which I may do at some point for the Edster...the urinary tract issue is surprising since I feed pretty high quality food that should ward off such evilties.....now they are all on a special diet to dissolve the crystals - hopefully he won't block before that happens (block=can't pee)

no, I wouldn't have had her permanently - but the girl who ended up adopting her wasn't able to take her til this past weekend - I wouldn't have minded having her here instead of keeping her in the kennel the whole time. Felt so bad going in the kennels at night to get the boys and having to leave her there.
