I posted over in the shirt cyber pub, but I don't think many of you venture over there, so I'll give it a shot here too.

Daughter's girl scout troop is participating in a girl scout cookie ice cream flavor contest at a local dairy farm's ice cream shop. They can use either chocolate or vanilla ice cream as a base, add one type of cookie, and any other ingredients.

The version I came up with was a Strawberry shortcake - vanilla ice cream, the trefoil cookies (shortbread ones) and chunks of strawberries. I know the trefoils aren't the most popular cookie (thin mints and samoas, from our sales) so I'm wondering if we need to go with something more mainstream. Gots any fabulous recipe ideas?

Hi everybody. Sounds like everybody has been either bored or busy elsewhere. We have been cleaning out MILs closets. Suppose clothes will go to Salvation Army or local charity. Changed banks for FIL so he can get there more easily. He is uncomfortable driving which is wonderful at 92! I think we will move his car to our insurance. He is going to ride the van to eat lunch at the senior center every day. I haven't been able to convince him that he needs somebody to come in and clean his bathroom and mop his kitchen. Making progress. I have to go back to work tomorrow. Board meetings and stuff. Anybody heard from Poof today? Hope she's OK!

FIL and hubby are sad but very sure MIL is better off. FIL is doing remarkably well, I think. He was really stressed out with MIL's illness and dealing with nurses aid, etc. and now he's more relaxed. He looks a lot better and is more in tune with his surroundings so to speak. He understandably wants all the home health stuff out of the house.
EDIT: Neither hubby nor I have living sibs. It is all on us!!!!

Glad FIL and hubby are doing okay. It's amazing the amount of stuff that has to be done when something like this happens. Stay strong! Wishin' the best for everyone!!
