Easter by my lonesome, again. Dinner was boneless country style pork ribs (garlicky pepper sauce), corn, salad, cabernet franc and cherry cheesecake. All homemade. Well, the wine was bought. ^_~

No, I graduated in December. Right now I'm finishing out my lease at this apartment (an hour away from family and boyfriend). My family celebrates Easter, but I'm not feeling inspired or pious this year.

I'm alone because...I often am. I'd say 4 of the past 6 years have been spent alone on Easter. Nobody around here seems to think twice about it. Dunno.

Only an hour away? Well, then it is your choice. It is nice to be happy by yourself.

Don't move to NYC, an hour travel is normal.
Not by car. An hour is OK. I don't like over 2 hours.
There is a kid on the block who's mom wouldn't let him go away to school, so he drives an hour each way.
Yet she travels months at a time for her job.
That is just weird.
Plus he must be paying a few hundred for gas a month. Plus wear on the car.
We all think they are nuts.

I'm moving to Japan, where that sort of thing is normal too. However, it will not be by car. Really I'm too lazy and my stepmom's sick. My mom's a restarant manager and had to work and my dad and I don't have the best relationship so I don't feel like driving out just to see him.

That makes sense.
If you get a seat on the train, the commute is fine. You can read or relax.
If you have to stand , it vacuums.
I use to have to stand 40 minutes to an hour each way on the subway. Not fun.
It looks like Japan is like that.
You get use to it.
