Just by looking at the product threads you could tell that a lot of folks were bailing out. It appeared that it was available for a while. (in as much as crap ever stays available)

heh, last year when they had it listed at $1,000,001.00, it lasted for quite a while... guess not a lot of people felt like "testing" their credit limit

Makes since, what Skek, Joyner, and I experienced, is that we were denied earlier (too far back in line although we hammered the big buy it button). This time we were greeted with the you already have one line, but as far as we know we didn't succeed last time. Not trying to be greedy, just bummed about not getting the last shot (I got in real early), unless I really did get one earlier, in which case I can happy dance. Seems that there are a lot of people that experienced this in the forum.

True, but even that one was a little obvious once you took the time to read the product description and look at the enlarged image. IIRC, the word PLEASE was highlighted or underlined no fewer than five or six times. I think I preferred that to the mad clickfest that normally happens.

I saw it, and I didn't bite. . . no crap is worth that. Besides I didn't want to test how binding the buy it button was.

For what it is worth, I had the "in-line if orders are declined" message for the first offering.

I never even got an "in-line"... and still got shut out from later ones. Though the DW said that if they denied me later that meant I might have gotten one after all (like the Monkeys last week).

Ms. KtC,
I'm not usually here very late, so this could be my only chance to post suggestions.

Please get some rest and drink plenty of non-soy-containing liquids.

Sorry Ms. Poof; I am a FF user. I have seen issues with it after the last service patch came out last Wednesday (bad things happen when you are on pages with Java).

Maybe it's MSNBC I'm having problems with, rather than IE.

Edit: No, that can't be it, because it froze a couple times when I was trying to get on Cheezburger. Hmm. But Cheezburger from MSNBC.

Low profit margins are squeezing companies along the length of the gasoline supply chain, from the biggest refiners to the smallest corner stations. Contrary to popular belief, 95 percent of gas stations in the U.S. are independently owned: Their prices and procedures aren't dictated by a major oil company, even if the station licenses that company's name.

With crude oil, gasoline's raw ingredient, soaring to records near $112 earlier this month, up from about $60 a year ago, gas prices are actually struggling to keep up. Crack spreads, the difference between what refiners pay for crude and get for the gasoline they make, have gone negative on some days in recent weeks. That means that in those cases, refiners were losing money making and selling gasoline. In comparison, at one point last spring, crack spreads reached as high as $37 a barrel.

I think someone should sell "crack spread." Best invention since peanut butter.

So... anybody bother to count how many batteries they actually sold today? I'm curious to know, but too lazy to see if the answer is buried in any of the product threads.

Hi, they just left us a little while ago. Not good!
Don't know if anyone is interested but Snapster posted a note about what happened earlier. When people were told they couldn't get crap because they already got it.

From my own experience, and from what Snapster indicated, the first posting of crap at 3:00 EDT didn't create a problem. It was only an issue if you got the "in-line" message for either craps two or three. Within our community, I believe that this should impact KtC, Orc, Lady Poof, and a few others. I hope that the woot gods can come up with a good resolution.
