Son crawled at 6 months. I wouldn't help him walk for months even though I think he wanted to. They thought my crossed-eyes was because I never crawled -- just got up and walked at 8 months. I made sure he crawled. May have been an old-wives tale but I wasn't taking a chance.

Is she doing the cute tippy-toe walk?

When I was a kid nobody on the block had the handle on the faucet to turn on the hose.
Why?
We had a three year old living on the block who would turn on the hose and hose people down as they walked home from the subway!

Heh, I did the same as you, I'm not cross-eyed, but I don't have perfect vision either. Oldest only crawled for about a week.

She is walking more of a waddle step, not on her toes.

Son finally walked at 10.5 months. We got a good amount of crawling out of him and wow, was he fast!

Daughter wouldn't let go for a long time. She would hold onto something, even if it was just with a pinky.
Son never practiced. One day he pulled himself up and walked away!

Ok, hilarious the first time. Not so much after that. Of course, your talking to the woman that met her son with a loaded Super Soaker when he came back from visit to dad (when he lived in another state). Had one loaded and ready for him as well.

The men on the block would have water fights with the hose.
Somehow if we did it, we were in trouble.

Good morning.

Just read back a bit... Poof if you haven't done your file labels yet, consider getting a cheapy label printer thingie. I used this to print out labels for my hanging folders when we got the new desk - and you can print one or a gazillion (or until the paper runs out) and label whatever, wherever.

Here's a link to one at Staples...

I'm debating getting today's woot for our Disney trip. My digital camera is, I think it's called an SLR type, and it's big and bulky. I'd like a smaller one but don't know if I should be forking over another $100 right now... Ugh, what to do, what to do?

Good point. I used one of those for my home files. I forgot about that. They are just the right size.

I accidently left my insulated cup at the sink on Friday. The cleaning lady nicely put it in the dishwasher for me. It's oblong now instead of round. Sigh.

Happy Monday.

Realtor Danilo Bogdanovic says he is increasingly seeing more foreclosures on properties worth more than $800,000 as affluent borrowers burn through savings in a vain attempt to stay in houses they can't afford.

At the end of 2007, 20 of the 25 houses for sale for more than $850,000 in Loudoun County, VA, appeared to be foreclosures.

I'd be interested to see how they are defined as affluent and if their income conditions have altered since they bought the homes.

No, this is just the forst article I read that sort of said that "rich people" got "tricked" into these loans that are "surprise!" snapping them in the butt.

I especially am impressed by the part where these poor folks "burn through savings in a vain attempt."

What a mess.

When I was a kid, most adults said to save up your money and only buy things you could afford. Now it seems to have shifted to "buy things you think you deserve," and the media is shocked that most of us can't afford to pay for all these things.

Sorry. Too sensitive hot button of an issue.
