In your link, the first line of bold says 15:14:16 UTC. How can it be 15 and what's UTC?

UTC

15 is military time? 24 instead of 12?

But it says April 18, 15:14. It won't be 15:14 until 3 this afternoon.

nm, I got it.

UTC is more familiarly known as Greenwich Mean Time (we're five hours behind England.)

You went to grade school with him or he's from the grade school in your district?

The kid is from my grammer school. Catholic school. I saw a report on the two kids with the flowers last week.
This kid is actually religious. Altar boy and all that. The girl was from the other grade school our nuns taught at. She seemed normal.

I went to the school that Joe Torre's sister the nun was principal at. Not when I went, she was just a nun then. My 6th grade teachers best friend.
The two nuns would go to all the games Joe played in NY at the time. They always got on TV or in the newspaper, sitting in the stands in their habit.

They asked the boy why he was chosen and he said "I guess because I'm good."
I wonder if this will make him more of a nerd in the eyes of his classmates, or they would admire him for it.

W T heck! Earthquake in OH???? Did you feel it???? I know we have a fault line here, didn't know there was one in the midwest.
I felt the biggest one we ever had....felt like a truck passed on the street.

Actually it looks like people are just staying away from the areas. It has been in the paper, exactly where and when he will be somewhere.

Right now 5 streets and 2 avenues are shut down near the UN. That happens whenever anyone extra important is in the UN building.

Lucky Gimma, the pope is sleeping in her neighborhood! I wonder if the puppy got an ID badge too!
She will have to convince the puppy that it needs to walk a different way to get to the park.

From the wonderful world of wiki (accurate in this instance):

Coordinated Universal Time (UTC,--Fr. Temps Universel Coordonné) is International Atomic Time (TAI) with leap seconds added at irregular intervals to compensate for the Earth's slowing rotation. Leap seconds allow UTC to closely track UT1, which is mean solar time at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich.

The difference between UTC and UT1 cannot exceed 0.9 s, so if high precision is not required the general term Universal Time (UT) (without a suffix) may be used.

In casual use, Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is the same as UTC and UT1. Due to the ambiguity of whether UTC or UT1 is meant, and because timekeeping laws usually refer to UTC, GMT is avoided in careful writing.

Time zones around the world are expressed as positive or negative offsets from UTC. Local time is UTC plus the time zone offset for that location, plus an offset (typically +1) for daylight saving time, if in effect. UTC replaced Greenwich Mean Time on 1 January 1972 as the basis for the main reference time scale or civil time in various regions.

The central Mississippi Valley (principally centered on Missouri) is a huge fault zone with the potential for massive earthquakes.

If it's the movie I'm thinking of, the only thing I remember is that River Phoenix was in it and they were walking down railroad tracks. The song with the same name... now that I know, but I doubt it has anything to do with the book.
