Seven-Eleven used to carry these on their magazine racks, but they were so popular with shoplifters that they now only carry them behind the counter in a brown paper wrapper. A cherry Slurpee costs a buck extra.

I'm trying to think what else you could do with these besides read them. I can think of some art projects these would be good for...

I was considering getting it for my 8 yo nephew, but these are all odd issues from obscure story lines - he'd never know the whole stories.

I am pretty good at math and I say the odds are about a bazillion to one.

Comics aren't really an "investment" these days. If you don't enjoy them there's no point in buying them, as they are printed on much better paper these days, and thus are much easier to preserve.

Old comics printed on newsprint degrade quickly, thus they're rare, and by extension valuable.

Nowadays comics are printed on glossy paper and don't get nasty nearly as quickly. Beyond that after the collapse in the mid-90s, those of us that actually value comics don't get conned by drunken apes just in it for profit.

In short, no, these aren't worth buying as a commodity.

And with the exception of Captain America these all look to be mediocre books that didn't sell, hence this kind of deal.

So nice that I'm going to buy 30 to send them to my friend overseas.

I guess two for 20 cents didn't have a chance of moving the loads of them they have in the warehouses. I guess it's "multiples tuesday", not as catchy buy you do get more, relatively speaking

THIS guy has the right idea... this is a carnival woot, nothing important or extremely useful, but these days there are not very many other ways to entertain yourself for $6, $7 or $8.... depending on how many you go for.... toss money, we're not going into a recession
