If you're speaking of a Woot-ff checker then it's probably not very CPU intensive and it's only refreshing a small XML file.

If you do that on the Woot main page I suggest that you slow down the refresh rate of you might get "Jerk-faced" - you'll soon see what I mean

I'm on my laptop, but I have set my desktop monitor with woot main page in firefox refreshing every 10 scs and the CPU bar in the informer widget goes up to 80+% when the page refreshes
