I got one of these from Office Depot a while ago for $5 after $35 mail in rebate. It's basic, but it works just fine. My brother also has one and it does a good job of only picking up the speaker's voice and not anything else in the area.

DO NOT BUY! I got one of these during the wootoff back in March. Reception is bad, and sound quality is just terrible. I actually threw mine out the window while driving out of frustration with this monkey poo

This... was not worth the wait. Although I do have one, and I really can't complain. It works. Nothing fancy, and the sound quality isn't exactly pin-drop clear, but it gets the job done.

A used earphone. That's how you catch a case of hearing aids.

I just bought 3 of these from sellout.woot last week or so. still waiting for them to get here, but BF has one and uses it with the ps3. its fabulous for that, games like warhawk. that sort of stuff. really good for the price, considering how much we paid for it new from radio shack. I am tempted to get 3 more now, as we have a cyber cafe and can give them away to our members. i will be cleaning them with rubbing alcohol once they come though. as an FYI, you can do that, with the little alcohol pads no problem. I am an RN, and I figure it can't be any different then cleaning off our stethoscopes that stayed in isolation rooms that we HAD to share with each other.

I'm a bluetooth noob. I have a crappy LG phone, and I'm not sure if it's compatible or whatever. How do I find that out?

HarryBeanbag - Good one! That made me seriously laugh!

Sadly, I am not "with it" tonight. When the description referred to "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights" I instantly thought of the episode of "Just Shoot Me" where Maya and Elliot finally get together (in a car, natch). Don't know why I remembered the name of that episode, but had never heard of Meatloaf's song. Oh, well. Still not buying one no matter whose dashboard lights it gets used by.

I think I'll not be wasting my time coming to woot anymore. I haven't seen a reasonable deal, let alone a good deal on here in god knows how long. That last woot-off? What a joke!

Press the menu button on the phone and look through the bits and see if you see anything that says bluetooth.
Or you could read the phone's manual.

I have a crappy LG phone too. It doesn't have bluetooth.

Read the manual, google your model number for specs, search for a bluetooth option in your phones menu.

Do either one of those to find out, or all three if you're extra bored. But one should suffice.

So I looked around, and apparently I don't have bluetooth compatibility. Are there any other options out there for cordless headsets? I kinda want one for when I'm driving (and also because I have a desire to look like a tool).

Tuco

I have had one (actually two because I thought the first one was broke) of these to replace my H500 that I left someplace random. Battery life was better, but that was about all that was going for it. Sound quality was worse than the H500, and the Range was not even close to 10 meters of open space, but more like 5 meters before quality dropped. I *AM* in the market of a new bluetooth headset for VoIP'ing off my laptop, but send our way some Logitech bluetooth, or some really nice stuff.

This bites. Stay away.

these arent bad. i got one for 35 bucks when i lost my AMAZING $85 bluetooth that nokia was ticks! GET THEM OFF! HURRY!.

but...this motorola isnt bad. especially for 15 bucks. if youre looking for a spare or a cheap one this will do you fine.

remember...respiffied'd usually means someone brought it back "broken' to walmart to exchange it for something else.

Woot's price is better, but it's respiffied, and not better by much.

If you have a flip phone, make sure that if you get a corded headset, that it has an
answer button on the cord. Otherwise, you have to physically open the phone to answer. It's a real hassle....
I got a great headset made by Shure (the professional microphone people) but it doesn't have an answer button, so it's pretty well useless (to me).
