I kind of like the idea of food.woot. I don't want to post too much in that thread. I think it'd be better to have food.woot like wine.woot, once a week.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

I kinda liked the idea of diurnal woot (once at midnight, once at noon), but Snapster pretty much threw that out so. . .

Well ya know, you can't think of everything, and it's a good way to get some free thoughts. He's getting some interesting responses too.

It's all about sales and revenue and at the same time giving people what they want.

Of course, but part of that is keeping the site fun, new, fresh, and interesting, while getting compatible products. Plus, how many wooters are staying up for the woot-offs now, I mean the ebw still gets quiet at night during the woot-off.

He did seem genuinely concerned about fresh new ideas to keep us hyped up.

So what would be your suggestions?

Actually I don't have any. The programmers want more computer stuff, there is stuff on the market that I cannot even pronounce. The older wooters prolly want the food-woot. Their big competitor sells everything, everything, all day long. I am just guessing some of their business is there. It is advertised as to what time it will be for sale and you read the calendar and log on at that time. They play games with the items and fun stuff.

Many of the wooters are members and participate in the games and sale of items.
They sell lots of computer things, shoes, perfumes, children items, for two hours they sell books every day, it is very varied. They also have a make-up hour. It is endless what these people offer.

I think it would be neat to see more specialized (unique) items. Everything seems so middle of the road or common anymore. Maybe I've just been watching for too long. I haven't gone to the "other" site, but I haven't been buying much from woot either. Maybe I'll go suggest mixing stuff up with more novelty/unique items. Not just nic-naks, but high end computer parts, or other specialized niche type things. I'll have to flesh it out into a real idea though.

Poof - I really liked your suggestion for more kids items, but then, I can participate in the woot babies thread.

They do need to step up the priority shipping. I never order holiday shirts because even if I pay for the shipping they won't make it here until the day after.

If the site you reference is jf,they are having serious issues right now. They only sell product from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Live chat is running but that is about all.

I got an e-mail from Mom-in-law. She is having her mastectomy on Thursday. She is asking for prayers. She has a 9am appointment, Central time. Of course we won't be able to help her in any way other than calling and praying, so I know this will be hard for Orc too.

Catching up, in between working, (I don't know why these people won't leave me alone!), but I will pray for her also. Please keep us posted.

This is just my $.02, but I think you would be a wonderful dog parent. Also dog pee hasn't made brown spots in our grass. Isn't your back yard sort of fenced in so you could let him or her stay outside some? If you start out with a dog that is older, maybe two or so, they are hopefully over the puppy chewing everything stage.

It's male dogs that can turn grass. Fred, the bestest dog in the whole wide world, would go pee as soon as he walked off the back patio -- same spot. Killed that grass. I would put that cheap garden wire fence around that spot to get him to move to a new spot for a while. Kinda like moving a cow for grazing. Sigh.

Oh, good morning.

Hi folks! I'm trapped in a hospital awaiting an x-ray (kinda, it's a fluoroscopy which is a moving xray of my heart). They're overbooked, so I'm here for a while sitting on my duff. At least the hospital has free wireless

Prof. Tek,

Hope there's no serious health issue behind your getting a fluoroscopy.
