You're supposed to organize these things ahead of time so you don't keep princess waiting!

had it organized. bib must have fallen off. Couldn't find it. Didn't want to do the whole outfit change after feeding, so had to get a new one. Note to self. Put bibs in new feeding room.

Eh, I found a bunched up towel or cloth diaper more effective at that age anyway.

You have a "feeding" room? Other than just the nursery?

no, the nursery is now the feeding room. Was the living room. We are changing things up. House not that big!

We got both boys (5.5 and 2.5) sleeping in the same room. Lucky us. Cause that means that we get an extra room.

If we put lil stl in one of the bathrooms to sleep, we get even more room back. I dunno. Might work.

got a new stroller. the grayco snap thing was fine and will continue to be so, but for going on long walks, it was a bear. Now we have a smooth ride for the kid and tried it out this evening. good stuff.

Son hated stroller. He wanted to be held, mostly by dad. That was fine by me. He held his head up pretty early and wanted to be looking around. Dad's shoulder gave a good view.

My kid just started his cereals a few weeks ago.. we're on cereal #3 (mixed grain). Took him about a week to learn to swallow, but we're all good now. Veggies on Friday!

We haven't been on a walk since we moved to a new (2nd floor) apartment.. I'm not too fond of dragging his stroller up and down 15 steps.

He has become quite fond of pulling his plug out of his mouth and getting frustrated and crying when he can't get it back in the right way. Over. And over.

He also is a fat lazy lump and refuses to roll over, either direction... I'm scared to take him to his 6 month check up because I don't want the doc telling me I am a bad parent.

llo. All in good time. All in good time. All babys are fat & lazy. And yours will be rolling before long.

When son was a bit older, about a year, he would toss his binky in the car and then get mad. I tied it to a string and to his car seat. He could throw it and then reel it back in himself. Worked great. (Don't use a string in the bed of course!!!)

That is genius. I haven't bought one of those binky clips because they're like five bucks, and, come on. I have been meaning to get a ribbon or something but haven't gotten around to it. Instead I walk around with one hand cupped under his chin at all times in public to prevent a dirty crash-landing. I'm successful 80% of the time.

If he's going to wear it, just make sure it's short enough so it doesnt' go around his neck. And don't let him wear it to bed or anything. Like I said, my son was older and it was only on the carseat I did this. Only had to show him once or twice how to get it himself.

I suppose he probably has to master putting it back in his mouth correctly before we work on reeling it in..

but it would sure make my job so much easier...

that and if he could just wipe his own butt.

Heh, gotta represent for the guys!

There are some cleaner than others, there are some women who are amazing slobs, and as to the nether regions and discharges, well I have done my share of wiping up after the "fairer" sex so let's not be throwing around disparaging remarks. humph.

baby stl is asleep in her now somewhat regular morning nap. Gives me time to get my computer back up and running. I just rearranged all of the hardware on my desk after installing a new keyboard tray and UPS (which is charging and not ready yet.) I am labeling all of the power cords and USB cords this time, so I can figure out what they go to when I am mucking around on the floor. (more on this in posts)

What this really means is that now the baby sleeps in a somewhat regular pattern (for now) and allows me to get some concentrated work done now and then. It is really refreshing. She'll wake up soon, scream for food that doesn't appear instantly, and probably want her diaper changed while being fed. Nope, haven't got that one down, yet; and it seems a little unhygienic, too.

I hope that not wanting a dirty diaper will help with the whole potty training thing.

For some reason Pumpkin doesn't seem to have a problem with dirty diapers. It's never been the reason for his crying... I actually have to admit that I'm a bad mom and forgot to change him until we'd been up an hour today. But in my defense we're up north at the cottage this week so our routine is off...

He loves his sweet potatoes, he gets carrots today :D

He doesn't take regular scheduled naps, but he finally has a set bedtime (that is before mommy and daddy's bedtime) now that we moved and he has his own room. He gets up with the sun now, but at least my husband and I have a few hours to ourselves in the evening. ;)

I am so glad to not be dealing with food yet. We are beginning the more drool stage, though.

Here's a question:

Why are 98% of children's TV programming British? I swear, most of them if not directly from England, have english speakers. My kids are going to get an accent!

Kee-ripes. We have our oldest (5 yr) go to phys ed camp. He supposedly took his shirt off all morning (got wet, but I bet the counselors told him to do it to stop his shirt from getting wet when he did the sprinkler). We didn't spray him on his shoulders/chest, just his arms/neck/face. Result- bad sunburn. Gave him motrin and hope he makes it through the next few days. Pissed at the phys ed folks though... or does everyone else have their kids run in the noonday sun shirtless?

Yes, I love that program, esp since somehow a rule got made that Mommy's keyboard is off limits, but go bang on Daddy's all you want. :-)

That would be because you let them bang on your keyboard and I can't have them doing that when I was working from home or when I am trying to fill out job aps.

Lil one turns half tomorrow. I have been putting off making his 6 month Dr. appt because he was super sick with a fever and screamed all day and night after his 4 month shots. I know I have to make it, but I don't want to go through that again. Maybe these ones won't be so bad ...

peglegwookie

fortunately baby wookie does not do that. I sometimes have an ache in my neck and shoulder from holding him on one side. Now I have learned and try to use both shoulders when he gets fussy. Good thing for us is that he enjoys the stroller and that will put him to sleep real quick if we left a binky at home when on short trips.

Hooray for simple things that put the little ones to sleep!
