$400 is ridiculously cheap for a 32" HDTV. At that price it's nearly a disposable TV. Of course, since this is a respiffied model, clearly it IS a disposable HDTV. Go figure.

yes, contrast ratings are carp. Usually measured at 0 inches at full bright in a 100% dark room with equipment that isnt even calibrated.

ANSI lumens, on the other hand, SHOULD be accurate (unless measured in said conditions above.

See AVRev forums and articles, they asplain it better than me

Never wooting again. I've learned my lesson about inferior customer service and employees that illegally modify your signature (18 U.S.C. § 1029). Grow up, woot. (Edit of Mod edit: I am telling the truth about you modifying my signature to slander me. I am not attacking people. You dont qualify as "people" until you call me back and I hear a voice on the phone, then we can discuss how your employees are harassing me.) Still no response Since December 2010.

Got my TVA today and picture is messed up - Anyone else experiencing this? The bottom 1/3 of the screen is darker than the other. You can see a line across it. Any ideas?

I don't know if mine is messed up or not, but it seems like all the 720p sources resize to 4:3 so there are 2 black bars on the size. The 1080i sources look great. I'm using ATSC as the source.

Mine is not as bad as yours. But i've found that on the left half of my tv, I can see the vertical RGB lines. They're rather faint, but clear enough to be annoying. Oh, and it doesn't matter what input I used; it still give the same thing. Anybody have any ideas?

I'm definitely calling up emerson and get my money's worth. for your case, sir, I suggest you do the same thing. We've got 90 days until we have to pay for labor cost.

I've already called Emerson and they are supposed to schedule a pickup (there is not a service center in my area). They said it will take 6-8 weeks to get repaired and returned to me. Oh well I guess you get what you pay for.

Yup, mine was DOA. turns on for about 2 seconds and turns right off. I'm taking it to an Emerson authorized place on monday.

Yuck... this isnt good for my first woot item.

Great TV for 2 hours! Now only colored vertical lines. Item description said 90 day Woot warranty. Should I contact Emerson or send to Woot (apparently at my expense??)

I just talked the local Emerson guy and he said my system board is a problem and Emerson has a lot of system board problems and I should send it back as soon as possible. After reading the "woot warranty" getting it fixed doesn't seem to be an option unless it's at my expense . So either way I look to be losing money on this deal. Next step email woot for rma info and hope shipping isn't too much.

Got mine the other day and it does not have a remote. I am hoping I can get one with out sending in my tv. But the tv works great, digital channels look great.
Found one here, and I will probaly be cheeper than having to ship the tv back.

mine does this too. after some online research, i found that a lot of these tvs do this. according to an emerson rep, we're suppose to unplug it for 45 minutes, this "resets" it. who knows? i guess it's worth a try.

Got my tv on Friday-hooked it up on Saturday-it worked great for about 45 minutes, then during playing guitar hero, the tv turned off. After just resetting my PS2, the tv stayed on & we played several songs on guitar hero, then turned off again while watching a program- now, it's hit & miss-worked just fine today for 5 hours then turned off, then after several hours of 'rest' worked for about an hour....looks great when it will stay on! Checked all settings and have power saver turned off....will keep looking for a resolution before asking Woot to honor the warranty....

It's been 4 days since I requested an RMA, still no reply. I went out and bought a 32" Dynex at Best Buy for $500.

If this one dies at least I can just throw it in the truck and take it back.

Now I know why it was so cheap $$$. It went dead 10 days after the 90 day warrenty. Now I have a bad circuit board and they want $120 to replace it even with Emerson (Funai) covering the parts. No more big item purchases that are re-furbs for me. I learned my lesson.
