DON'T TAKE PICTURES OF ANYTHING YOU WOULD WANT TO SEE AGAIN

Got so many memory cards lying around, not interested in less than 8G anymore.

Just got a Canon HF100, so if any 16G class 4+ SD cards come up for < $30 or so (going price is $35) I'd be in. I'd like a 16G MicroSDHC for my Fuze too but I don't expect to see those on Woot for a while, since they're barely shipping yet.

Do not Waste your money, or anything you try to save to it. you will put this in your PDA or Phone, or camera and the device wont even register it being inserted...if it does, you will take pics and never be able to transfer them...do not buy off brand memory! learn from my mistake

This will not work with the Wii. The Wii does not support HCSD cards. Apparently, Nintendo thinks we only need 2GB of space.

kwag wrote:The description says that this comes with a "jewel case." Curious to know if anyone knows what that looks like.

The jewel case is the plastic covers the cards come with. The card sits inside and you can see what's inside. Works like a CD case, only smaller.

I have a small electronics distributorship on the side and this deal is awesome, and Dane Electric is a less expensive brand but I have never had any problems with them.

In for 3!!!

Anyone know if this will work on a kodak V705? (2G SD works now.) Or a JVC Everio GZ-MG37U?

Really? I thought the mantra was more like "don't take pictures of anything you don't want anyone to see".

You know, like that time after graduation when you and Mrs. Zilinsky (that hairy shop teacher) were fooling around behind the stage, and the microphone was on.. and somehow the pictures leaked and were front page news for, like, the next 5 years...

It's aggravating being restricted to 3. I have 5 devices that I'd like to have 4 gig memory in.

I just bought two. I probably should have asked "Will they work with a Verizon G'zone Boulder and a Garmin 60 cxs GPS unit?"

Ehh -all warnings about buying an off-brand aside, memory is memory is memory. I mean, c'mon, it's a 4 Gig chip for under 10 bucks. Is anyone really going to use it for anything mission-critical? Not if they have half a brain in their head. Anything that goes on these chips for me is going to be something that I already have backed up (or will soon be backing up) on my hard drive on my main PC or my home server.

I'm in for 3.

It's made by Dane Elec. Just one of their model-type numbers. I have used Dane flash drives for a long time - yep, they are lower cost but have worked flawlessly.

queenangelfish wrote:Great price! Does this work with a mini SD, too? That's what my phone takes.

No it won't. Mini SD is sort of the medium sized SD card. There are SD, miniSD, and microSD. Both miniSD, and microSD cards fit into adapters that make them the same size as a regular SD card.

In for 3. Just paid $18 shipped for a 4 gig card a week ago at the egg. Hope these work just as well in my DS since they are "off brand" and are only a class 4 as opposed to the class 6 I got.

protozoider wrote:PRICE COMPARE

It seems no one has looked up the potential value of this product. In other words, you're probably not getting a deal. Especially if you count in shipping price.

This memory is made by Dane-Elec not Cube. http://www.dane-elec.fr/us/

It's not even close to name brand. It's not mainly an American brand. That means there probably won't be good support if it goes bad. It's also not a great deal.

http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-MicroSD-TransFlash-Adapter-SDSDQ-2048/dp/B000VOU91U/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1224245285&sr=8-4

2GB SanDisk microSD with adapter for $2.67 with $0.02 shipping. I've purchased from the seller before too, no problems. SanDisk is great about repairing your memory too. So if you're buying this just because it seems like it's a good deal, it's not. It's a standard deal for a non name brand card. If you're buying a bunch it might be worth it, but it's not that good of a deal.

I don't know if this applies to the ones on your link, but there have been a lot of counterfeit memory cards that look just like real Sandisks. I came across this info when I read about the same thing going on with high end rechargeable batteries being offered at really low prices. So beware.

Also, anyone know if it's possible to span a wmv file across multiple fat32 partitions across multiple storage devices so one could play HD on xbox 360, conversely M$ please add NTFS support for our portable devices.

IDK if this has been answered, since it was hours ago that you posted... but perhaps get the little plastic cases for Nintendo DS games and store your SD/Micro SD cards in those? They sell books/cases to store the games in too.

Great question, I've been looking for the exact same thing and have never come across anything made for the purpose. In the mean time I cram several in a standard SD case, but I'd rather have something that secures them and has room for the converter.

I realize that I'm being pedantic (it's the Internet, home to pedants), but shouldn't 1x be the standard speed and 60x be really fast? If 60x is the standard speed, what is 1x? Should 60x really be 1x?
