Can it be converted to work with an HP laptop that currently uses a 65 Watt AC Adapter?

Took a long time...I thought it was a PayPal thing (which has never worked for me in a woot-off before).

60 woots, 102 items, 34x1, 7x2, 18x3 (3x3 ßÕÇ-now retired), 9 unique shirt.woot, 1 sellout.woot <--OUTDATED (except the martini ;')

Actually I bought one of these because the one for my Compaq laptop is all bent. Terrible design, but great Woot.

I could also use a new battery for my Latitude. Get working on that.

hey.. who is worse? those of us who actually buy stuff from this site, therefore have a reason to hang out here, and post and gripe.. or you, who have been on here over a year, never bought a single thing, yet still post and gripe? maybe you need a life outside of woot, or some money to actually spend and make yourself happy..?

Roy33sakic wrote:Guess how much best buy charges for one of these?

$80.

Ridiculous.

I really wanted to buy 3...wish I had. It is so sad when you can't afford to spend $10 more.

I am looking for a better-paying job - if you have one, whatever it is, I can probably do it - that includes "rocket science," teaching math, running an office,...I work for an overpriced college with no tenure and low pay.

umm...pay me enough, and I'll buy lots of stuff from woot so you all can get to your bull-do-do on toast faster.

yes, I bought 3 too:One of mine has a short in the plug, another has a hole in the wire from a puppy chewing...

We've reserved a product for you, and are now processing your credit card. This usually just takes a few seconds, but if our servers are really getting pounded, it could take 20 or 30 minutes.

drummer425 wrote:They are. The wattage is just the max output. A 90 watt adapter can put out 65 watts if that's all that's demanded of it. Just gotta make sure the plugs are compatible and the voltages are compatible. That's all that matters.

Most laptops do not have a limiter to stop the flow until full it will work for a short time then fry your laptop do not put more wattage in then needed. The power brick it's self controls the amount, where the laptop is an on off for power. NOT COMPATIBLE

I just happen to have 2 Compaq & 1 HP laptops that I'm configuring for the nephews for Xmas. When this popped up, I jumped to the HP website & this discussion board for more info. Both sites have proven to be totally useless

HP has way too many power bricks (they average ~$50 ea), so it was back here for some good tech info.

What did I find? Mostly whiners looking for the coveted Bandolier of Carrots, and bitching about carp & pancakes. So many posts & so little information. Sad...

NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

please tel me you have just one more, another one left, maybe you mis-counted and theres just one more in that box..PLEASE!!

I NEED IT!!

Figures - I bought one of these for $59 at Staples TWO DAYS AGO and missed this Woot.

Also, FYI - if your HP laptop uses a 65W adapter this one would have worked perfectly for you. The 65W that ships with your HP laptop is a lightweight "travel" version, whereas the 90W version is larger in size but still pushes compatible voltage and amperage; the higher wattage only lets it run more efficiently.

3 cords, 3 separate packages?

I don't care, my company has HP Laptops and these are the exact models we need. Better then paying $50 a pop for them.

Yep, mine is the same. Started in Saco, ME, now at Willington, CT. My delivery address is 2 miles south of Woot HQ, but that doesn't help me this time.

I've got an old Compaq Armada, and I'm just hoping it'll fit. If it doesn't, I'm just out ten bucks, maybe less if I PM some of the folks above who missed out.
